Dont forget gumtree is owned by ebay.

They have similar detection methods.

Mind, what type of ad is it to be removed?

@OP, maybe the problem lies in WHAT you are listing? High risk?

I've had the same problem the last few days...

I can usually list items on GT with no problems, they're low risk ones, the same ones I usually sell on eBay, but now that I listed my gf's Apple MacBook, wow, there's no way the ad goes live...
I'm also in Spain, which makes things A LOT worse. We're still trying to find out a solution.

Apple products would be high risk. Keep experimenting - you may have to change country and try VPS IP if you want to get fresh country location

I can also confirm that Gumtree is becoming super picky about contacting buyers 'outside' of their mind-numbingly slow messaging system.

I listed an item that is not high risk last week. It went live in around 26 hours (oh the joy!). I kept on checking and I had up to 50 views...

50 views and not one single question? Surely not. So I asked myself a 'question' from an old laptpo in no way connected to my braodband or computer.

Do you know how long it took for that question to come through? 40 hours! And with that question came about 30 others.

Because of the 40 hour delay I responded to one guy (who was literally two streets away from me from what he said) with my email address and phone number. Two hours later my advert was gone. That meant I couldn't respond to anyone and they had probably even blocked the message containing my details. But I didn't want to wait another 40 hours for a freekin response.

IT GETS BETTER........

I check the laptop and check the emails of the 'message' I sent to myself. I have an email from Gumtree telling ME that I am contacting a FRAUD and not to do business with ME!

EBay's slanderous ways strike again...

It's happening a lot.

Hey,

Friends, I have a problem with Gumtree.

I put up an auction for the nintendo console two days ago and unfortunately Gumtree suspended it the next day.

The description is short and nothing is forbidden.

I deleted my account and bought the NordVPN program, I connected to Gumtree via IP from Great Britain and it did nothing. On a new account with a new emeil address they also blocked me immediately. And oddly enough, I also saw a blocked auction from this first account on this new account.

Is there any way to work around this?
