The biggest issue with disputes with overseas suppliers is the language barrier. See the seller can sweet talk Aliexpress by talking to them in Mandarin and filling them with lies. You on the other hand will defend yourself by speaking English, half of which the chap that's mediating the dispute probably doesn't even understand.

I would assume you were buying to resell, and this was a sample order of $80. If so, just accept the losses and move on.

Far from paranoia. Rather years of experience. Half the times the seller will respond to the dispute/resolution case in mandarin. You'd have no idea what their saying, unless you translate it.

If you provide clear evidence of the fact that the panel is non new, 100% refund is guaranteed. Usually sellers are very afraid of disputes, so I am really surprised you've lost it.

Yeah.. if you're going to buy from sites like aliexpress you better be using a credit card so you can file a chargeback when you run into issues. You sure as hell aren't going to get the problem resolved through the merchant.
