and what do you mean by "real" merchant account? which one do you suggest, that works well with eBay?

By a "real" merchant account I mean the type of CC processing standard brick-and-mortar stores use. Well, minus the swipe machine. I have mine through e-onlinedata.com,( they use authorize.net ) It's compatible with ebay, overstock and others. Comes with a 'virtual terminal'. You can take CC orders in person, over the phone, garage sale, ...... whatever. Just plug the card info into the 'virtual terminal' and you can authorize and/or capture the funds instantly. I pay 1.9% + .20 per transaction. no gateway fee, no minimum, small monthly fee from e-onlinedata. ( $10, I think) I had to jump through some hoops to get the account, and I guard it with my life now :>

HI- Its MANUAL.. You need to send your customers manual invoices.
-- After you do a few, its pretty fast.. I can do one in less than a minute.
(spelling doesnt count though) :)
--OPen 3 things--keep 2 minimized all the time-while you're at the other working--
OPEN- EBAY selling Manager/Items SOLD
OPEn your Email acct
OPEN your ccnow acct
-- Anyhow- you keep your ccnow acct open/minimized,
---open your email acct with the buyer won-you sold it email from ebay..
---now in the ccnow field-- you can prefill without looking at other stuff:
a.) Auction site- Ebay
b.) Always place an "X" on send copy to my email (so you can forward to the buyers who say on day 8- they never recd it...)
--now go to the ebay email-- get the item number--copy/paste-
c.) paste into auction item number line on ccnow
---now go get the buyers email addresas from the ebay you sold it email--copy/paste
d.) paste into buyers email field on ccnow
---now look at the sold for price---say its $25.00, (if you know your shipping is $9.95-- I just add in my head- 25+9.95= 34.95
e.) go to the last field--TOTAL price with shipping- plug in $34.95
f.) hit send
g.) now- as you review it-- go down about 8-10 sentences-- see the highlighted "LINK".
h.) copy/paste this link
i.) now- go into ebay- send them a invoice- PASTE this link into the bottom;

:Hi- heres your secure link to pay with our merchant acct: PASTE HERE...

j.) I also --go to the contact buyer-- then also send the same 1 line sentence---copied from the bottom of that box on the invoice..

"Hi-heres your secure link to pay with our merchant acct. (it will say http://www.ccnow.com/abddefg/sellera...emid1234567890

k.) One more step-- I also-- (so when they tell me in 2 hours wheres the link--I "addnote" to the item, in items sold-- i paste that ccnow link- so i dont have to hunt for it..

Google is itching to compete with ebay on all fronts. They do not share info with ebay on their email customers like YAHOO does now. I hope they can some day open an auction site to compete with ebay

Google does put ebay cookies on your system if you google search for ebay and likewise for paypal.

How do you know yahoo gives ebay info and what info do they give?

Ok, maybe this is not the place to post this but, I am confused. On ebay's information page it says you can use paypal or a merchant account. I have heard that you are now required to use paypal only, is this true? If so that is BS. Is there a way around this?

You can use a merchant account but it must get approved by faxing statements to ebay first. Read the forum, and also it depends on what items you are selling at how closely they will look at you.

Okay guys i just signed up for this merchant account. Its very cheap and its very convenient as it allows your customers to pay with credit card or paypal.

Anyone using this? Im just wondering how do i use it with other auction sites? As they only intergrate ebay in their system.

I want to use it on ioffer.com or maybe from outside transactions. Can i do that?

Is it easy to integrate with eBay items?

Also, is it available to use in the UK? I want to setup a merchant account, but all of the ones I have seen in the UK don't seem to be compatible with paypal.

Hi- I've ran over $70k through them since august, never a hold, never any requests...They accept auction payouts for ebay+overstock...And they pay like clockwork ;)

Any one here have any problems with CCnow not paying out after u get banned ? cause i dont like the idea of sending off the stuff i sell before getting paid cause i have been burned in the past like this and every payment processer i know like paypal, google checkout and half.com if u send the stuff off and something happens and your banned they will refund the money and your screwed out of cash and items. So before i spend $10 to try this severice i will make sure they dont do that gay crap like the others

HI: They have nothing to do with ebay-- they could care less if ebay suspends you-- I have used them now for over 18-20 ebay accts..never a problem...

When you send an invoice from CCNOW does it do something to give paypal your main CCNOW account or give out your real name, address, email, etc. in CCNOW so your buyer and paypal can see it?

also one more ? before i sign up with CCnow is when u add a bank account to get your money from CCnow u dont have to fax a copy of a check to them like all other merchants do u? cause i plan to use a debit card as my bank cause theres no way in hell there getting my main bank account.

Yeah ive used Ccnow for a little bit with multiple accounts with no problems...works really good...they don't give out any info...

BTW---I did have a few "repeat buyers"' kinda put 2 + 2 together when i had an acct suspended--- QUICK + EASY fix...

Hmmm. Well PayPal could try and link by the LLC name if you get a lot of orders. Also, am I right to assume the LLC also appears on the customer's credit card statement?

Also, can you put multiple email addresses in CCNOW?


But the question now remains, what if you get a "not as described" dispute and then you have to argue with the customer, and then the customer wants to ship it back? Anyone know?

HI: I send my customers prepaid return labels, so I control the return, but i get very few..

How do you control the return?

JOnas, HI.. What I mean is that by "ME" sending the Prepaid Return label-- There is NEVER a question, as to whom/where it should go??
--So..when using a Virtual address for ebay--I never have to worry about pkgs being sent somewhere theyre not supposed to go, nor for my customers to have to contact ebay about me, nor for them to contact ebay-saying, hey-she has a bad address...

My Method

With Firefox or Explorer using Tabs..

Open Ebay (My Ebay/Items Sold), Gmail (Compose Mail), Ccnow Invoice Tool, and Paypal (For refunds)
Also I open Notepad/Writer with my General Form Letter

After Auction Has Ended:
1. Message the buyer thru ebay and tell them to check their email before paying to avoid delays.
2. Ebay-Hit “Send Invoice”
3. Ebay-Hit “Preview Invoice Before Sending” (Don't actually send it, just exit out after completing the steps)
4. Ebay-Copy buyers email address (At the top)
5. Paste buyers email address in Gmail and Ccnow
6. Ebay-Copy Item Number & Paste to Ccnow
7. Ebay-Copy Total Price w/ Shipping & Paste to Ccnow
8. Ccnow-”Send Me A Copy” choose yes
9. Ccnow-”Auction Site” choose eBay
10. Ccnow-Click “Retrieve Data”
11. Ccnow-Send Invoice
12. Ebay-Copy Item Title (Word For Word)
13. Gmail-In the Subject Type “How To Pay” then paste the Item Title (Word For Word) after “How To Pay” example “How To Pay: American Gangster DVD Special Edition Sealed”
14. Notepad-Copy Form Letter
15. Gmail-In the Body of the Email Paste Your Form Letter (Make Adjustments)
16. Gmail-Send Email
17. Repeat

They will get the invoice first, then your Letter on how to pay with Ccnow (Second, On Top). So the Letter being on top they will read that first. Make sure this looks and sounds professional and always include the name of their item its price, plus shipping, and a grand total price...maybe even a personal message..

Also include that you don't have a Paypal account and if the Ccnow Invoice isn't used to pay with Paypal then the payment will be returned and will cause delays in shipping.

You can reduce the risk of having them checkout thru ebay by saying in your ebay checkout instructions something about checking email before paying to avoid any delays in shipping.

If you have to Refund:
1. Sign into Paypal
2. Refund in full
3. FWD the Ccnow Invoice back to them and put “2nd Notice”.
3. FWD The Form Letter...Replace “How To Pay” with “Paypal Payment Reversed” in the subject line.

Hopefully after this they will Pay. Don't refund more than 4 times (To the same person), this has been reported as raising a flag. Ive only had to refund one person twice, everyone else just once, if at all. If you have a good Letter they'll pay with Ccnow right away.

i dont even know what i did wrong i made like 6 sales to test them out but i have yet to ship the stuff i want to make sure i get paid first so how dose ccnow know if u shipped or not and could that be the problem for this message?

Hi-the violation- u never shipped within the 24-48 hr time frame...I've used them since august-they've processed tens of thousands of dollars for me..never even an email from them...And-the acct name on file is Different than the Bank name on file..My goods are ready to go-I ship same day-goods over $100 go Redlabel overnite..Gotta get the goods out asap...Good Luck;)

ccnow problem - with sending invoice
 

i just registered ccnow today and EVERYTIME after i login the first page is "Agreement of Terms and Conditions" and i have to X "I have read the Client Agreement and I accept the terms" to continue to account.Also i tried to send an invoice to one of my ebay buyers today but EVERYTIME it says "Please enter a valid auction price. " after i click "retrieve auction data".I put the exact total price including shipping.I cant send the invoice.Did i setup something wrong?

How would cnnow know if the items been shipped? do u have to use there printing lable and enter it in some where? or do they ask the buyers if they got there goods

The stuff u sale is legit right and did u every have buyers get something other then what they expected and then open a despuit with pp to retreave funds and then your ccnow account is locked and u screwed out of money and items?
