Modee, if you had a way to get my $4,200 back I would hire you in a heartbeat.. but I don't think anything can be done now. If there is something you can do please PM me

Biggest rule when useing any online payment processers is NEVER SHIP NOTHING TILL CASH IS IN HAND.

Everytime I use a new Google account it gets frozen. Not sure why, but they always want proof I'm who I say I am. I've had to do it like 3 times, and it was for sending a payment!!! LOL

I created a Google Check Out acc to make a payment of 60 USD and they cancelled it and suspended my acc saying it was not possible to verify the information. Even when I entered all my real data and info.

Now they ask for ID bank account etc that will take me a while to provide

Maybe because my ip is from a country and my billing adress is from another? Out of ideas :(

I forgot how my account was set up but my sales each day are pooled into one day and a deposit is automatically made to my connected bank account each day. My account automatically says charged buyer and shipped out product. I didn't even do anything, not that I remember. So each day I get deposits from google. It could be that I'm selling only digital download items.

I'm sure that's it

Really??? I had no idea. How do you know this? I've been taking checkout payments for months. My checkout account is integrated with e-junkie shopping cart processor. I think e-junkie is notify google checkout that the item is shipped, because well it is since e-junkie emails the download links. Then google automatically charges the order and deposits it.

So does Google Checkout accept paypal payments?

marketscope 12-17-2008 08:18 PM

But Cartmanager does allow you to accept Paypal right? So if you integrate google checkout with Cartmanager will that allow you to receive funds from a buyer who is using Paypal without having to worry about your funds being frozen by Paypal? Or do you still need a Paypal account? How exactly does it work? I'm confused.

aking 12-17-2008 10:48 PM

ok, so what if I have already have an ebay account linked to a paypal account and now i want to transition to google checkout. Can I unlink them? Or so I need to make a new ebay account?

I think you are required to have a linked Paypal account in order to sell in the USA.
Unless you have a valid Merchant Account approved by eBay.

Yea I was wondering the same thing.

Also, how can I test my Cart Manager on my auctions? Should there be something that says 'Google' in my auctions?

yaw1800 12-17-2008 11:03 PM

while the topic of approved merchant accounts is up, i have have google checkout right now and of course its no bueno with ebay. can someone pm me with details on how to get appoved?? I'd greatly appreciate it

aking 12-19-2008 07:34 AM

Now that I set up my GCO with the cartmanager. I am getting error messages saying they have made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to my notication callback URL, which is the URL that we were supposed to put in. I will check it and make sure I have the right URL, but Im pretty sure I do.

yaw1800 12-19-2008 11:19 AM

go to the cartmanger page about integrating with googlecehckout and copy their link (must be signed in to cartmanager of course). The link on Modee's post is invalid. This happened to me too

aking 12-19-2008 04:54 PM

yea i fixed it, Modee didnt have the whole URL posted that's why i was getting errors.

aking 12-19-2008 09:28 PM

so what do i put for gateway?

aking 12-19-2008 09:56 PM

I think I will just continue to do what I usually do. Just let the buyer go ahead and pay with paypal, then send them a message saying my paypal is disfunctional at the moment and I will have to refund them and have them pay a different method, ie GCO. This has worked for me thus far. Plus, it gives the buyer a little more trust in you b/c you refunded them so they know you arent a scammer. Been working so far, why change I guess.
