No,they pay and you dont need to mark your item shipped and provide tracking #.
CC now requires that but not google checkout.

I recently had 2 sales on eCrater and they paid me using GCO, it was great, the money automatically went into my account in 2-3 days and I didn't even have to do anything!

I just read this entire thread to see if GC is good or bad and if I should pursue it. Appears from the post some like it and some do not.

The one question I have that was asked in this thread and was not answered is when you send your customer and invoice and you are using real info with GC it shows up on the invoice?

Can someone confirm that is does?

And if it does this is a dead end street, it wouldn't take long for someone to see the different names and contact ebay with the info. You will get one of those customers in time.

I know we are all trying to get away from PP but if GC is a hassle too with different issues then I wonder if it is worth it.

Any thoughts on using GC would be appreciated.

yeah your bussiness info shows up u can have your real info as your personal info and put what every address u want as a bussiness info

u dont have to use your real info on google i never used my real info and i had accounts last almost a year before it was took down and only reason was cause i was saleing high risk stuff

if ur selling legit stuff on google and have all happy customers then u have nothing to worry about

Conflicting info, some say you have to use your real info and some say you do not have to. Then there is a thread that they will ask for SS No.

Can someone comfirm the right way to do this and what is showing on the invoices sent to the buyers? I do not mind the business name but will not use it if it shows personal info.

Thank you

If you plan to withdraw more than $500 per month, you must give your Tax Id or SS#. Just put your ebay user id in the notes box. If you are doing tons of sales just try it with one customer to start, send the invoice quickly. Highlight the buyer protection, etc. of google checkout.

Hi Rosanna, Thank you.

Yes, it will be far more then 500.00 and I do not mind giving the SS, its the info the buyer sees on the invoice that concerns me.

I would not be too worried if I were you because if most of your items differ, I believe in another thread it was mentioned that you sell collectibles, most customers do not care. I.E. when I buy a book on amazon, I rarely look at the packing slip other than the price, shipping cost, etc. to make sure it matches my invoice by email. As long as people are happy with the product, you will be ok. Even if ebay takes you down, GC, will not as long as your tracking information, etc. is entered on their end. Good Luck.

Default New to this !!!

Hi group,
I have about 9 items listed on ebay with a new account with 0 feedback. I get a notice from ebay saying they will permit me to continue to list items if I use paypal while they see if i am capable of processing cc transactions with my merchant account.

Can anyone suggest anything !!! Last time I fax ebay my proof of merchant acct, they suspended my other acct last week. Saying it might be fraudulent.

I dont want to use paypal.

Thanks.

Marti

Default So nervous whenever customers mention Google

I am using Google Checkout to process payment. I manually send an invoice from Google Tools. However, sometimes, customers reply back to me via Ebay official message telling me that they paid me through Google (or Google Processor). I just get so nervous that Ebay may read this. Luckily, no one has written down the entire word (Google checkout) so far. But who knows, they may mention it in the future.

I may have to apply for Merchant Plus. However, Auctiva asks you to use Authorize.net as a gateway, which is very costly for integration while Merchant Plus provide Navigate for free. To be able to accept American Express and Discovers, how do you apply?

Really appreciate the answer.

Merchant Plus is an affiliate of Authorize.net, just it's a lot cheaper but the same exact thing. So much so you're running off authorize.net. This is my login URL:

https://account.authorize.net/merchantplus/

Notice, authorize.net.

It's Authorize.net but a lot cheaper. You get everything you need for it to work with Auctivia.

Hi Apskin,

I clicked on the link but it asks for Login ID and password. What should I do? With that link, will I get a cheaper Authorize.net? I thought that Authorize.net just a gateway. Please help explain.

Notice I stated this is my login URL.

It's where I log into my Merchant Plus account.

Authorize.net is a payment gateway yes, and a reseller of the service is Merchant Plus.

Trust me, if you want Authorize.net sign up with Merchant Plus. It's worth it.

OK, I got it. Just looked at the Authorize.net rate offered by Merchantplus: $9.95/month and $0.05 per transaction (1st 250 transaction free/month). Great.

The guy at Merchant plus told me that they don't require a long term contract but their Issuing Bank does require a 2 year contract, so basically it is a 2 year-contract. However he added that if I need to cancel it, just give them a call and the account will be canceled with cancellation fee waived. It is no problem for me.

If I register with Merchantplus (of course with my real name & address) and integrate it Auctiva through Authorize.net, the checkout process will occur at Auctiva's website, and I should be safe then. Am I right?

Default google checkout

Well I have been using paypal and money orders for payment options but finally am tired of paypal like many others. I will now be looking to setting up a google checkout account with cartmanager. My question is though, With paypal, I had to have a new paypal with ebay account. So if i have 3 ebay accounts, do i need 3 google checkout accounts and 3 cartmanager accounts. Or could i use the same google checkout and cartmanager for all 3 ebay accounts. Sorry very new to this merchant account game. thanks

Just one Checkout and cartmanager I believe.

Modee can probably set you up with cartmanager if you don't have one already, he's a reseller of it. Let him know.

Default Tired of sending Googlecheckout invoice

I've been using Google checkout for a month. At first, I used it with Cart-manager but sometimes, for some reason, the link provided by cart manager didn't work. Sometimes, buyers simply forgot and I had to resend another invoice, either through Cart Manager or directly from Google. I then quit Cartmanager and just manually send invoice from Google checkout tools. I send an invoice right after buyer makes a purchase. However, I've had 4 buyers so far that didn't pay. I keep resending invoices from Google checkout to ask them to pay in vain. They simply don't pay.

My conclusion is we've got to make buyers pay right after they've made a purchase. By this I mean we need to use a real merchant account which integrates with Ebay PayNow button so it is convenient for buyers to pay. If they can't pay that way they either forget it or ignore it. A lot of them won't bother opening their email to look for the invoice unless they really want the item. Everybody is busy to do other things.

I do like Google because of its great low fees but am very tired of resending invoice over and over again.

I will go with Merchant Plus and Authorize.net. That way I can list via Autiva and have the merchant account integrate with Ebay through authorize.net as Apskin has suggested. I know it will cost more but at least it gives me a way to catch customer's money right away.

I like Merchant Plus; it's fast, easy to use and automated with Auctivia. There are a lot of ways to get your customers to pay, you just have to find what works best for you and I guess stick to it. Good luck.
