Ebay not approving merchant accounts
It looks like EBay is flat out denying new eBay members to use a merchant account. Within four or five hours of faxing the account statements, they are replying with messages as to them not being able to verify the account and specifically saying "to sell on Ebay, you must use PayPal." Anti-trust laws aside, I would like some ideas.
I have a merchant account (Merchantinc.com) and their shopping cart (snscart.com). The good thing is this shopping cart automatically emails my buyers upon auction checkout. (It uses an eBay token like Auctiva). This is great in that all my buyers automatically get an email with Pay Now buttons directly to my merchant account.
The problem is that I cannot list a merchant account in my listings since eBay is turning them all down now. So, my solution is the following -
1. Within my listing, only select money order and cashiers check as payment methods accepted.
2. At the bottom of each listing, write that I accept credit cards (MC/Visa) and tell them that they will receive an invoice at checkout.
Will this work?
If not, please provide some ideas!!!!
Thanks,
Todd
