triple filtered | 10-01-2012 09:26 AM | Ccnow closing down? Just got an email saying as of 31st december, ccnow will close down?
What other sites can i use as a checkout apart from paypal?
Ccnow was ideal for what i need. |
rubber | 10-01-2012 10:25 AM | I have been using CCNOW for years... it is so simple and work really well for me (made less than $1000 per month).
Now I have to look for another one... sigh.
Sorry for my bad english. |
Dunersdunes | 10-01-2012 11:23 AM | Ccnow closes its doors Got email from ccnow this morning claiming as of December 31. They will officially be closed. Thought I'd share with everyone. No more ccnow. Darn

As a valued CCNow client, we are writing to let you know about some important changes we are making to your e-commerce platform during the coming months. Although decisions like this are never easy to make, we are planning to retire the CCNow platform at the end of this year.
We understand this change will impact your business and want to provide you with as much information as possible about the process, so that you can make alternative plans for your online store and prepare your customers.
Here are some key dates that you need to be aware of as we retire CCNow:
• Beginning October 1, 2012, payment reserves will be instituted and managed on an account by account basis. The amount held in reserve for each account will be based upon each account's sales volume, account history, chargeback and refund rates, and other risk factors. You will receive an email notification if a payment reserve is being held on your account.
• Starting October 31, 2012, support for third-party shopping cart API's, eBay auction invoicing and customer invoicing will be discontinued. After this date, only the standard CCNow cart will be available for transactions.
• Then as of December 31, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time, new transactions will no longer be accepted on CCNow and your CCNow Client Agreement will terminate. To help you make this transition, however, you will still be able to log in to your account and view reports, issue refunds, and manage customer inquiries. This functionality will remain available for at least six months.
As we prepare to retire CCNow, we will continue to update you during the next several months. In the meantime, we want to sincerely thank you for your business and support of CCNow. If you have questions or concerns regarding your CCNow account, please email support@ccnow.com. |
I used them briefly, they then took ages to give me my money, so fook em.
Sorry for anyone who used them.though |
jeffweico | 10-01-2012 01:24 PM | I used them before PayPal existed. Their rates were way high compared to PayPal, so I switched when PayPal came out. It's still sad to see them go, though. |
triple filtered | 10-01-2012 03:52 PM | Whats the alternitive now then?
I grudge going back to paypal and waking up to those ''your account is limited until we hear from you'' emails |
Just gotta beat Paypal at their own game. Stealth x 10 |
triple filtered | 10-01-2012 05:28 PM | so is there no other merchant account like CCnow?
I dont have my own website and just sold through internet forums so I need something similar to CCNow where I can generate invoices and send them to any email address but also accept Paypal payments? |
airsealed | 10-01-2012 05:48 PM | Dwolla is pretty good IMO.
That said, sad to see CCNow go as well. I've been with them for 12 years! Strange that they are just shutting down and not instead selling the business unit to another company at least. |
oompaloompa | 10-02-2012 03:37 AM | that accepts paypal? 2checkout and plimus?? |

Sorry for my bad english. | Your English is fine.
Your flag was wrong though.
Changed it to Hong-Kong for you now. Leave it as that.

concerned about my 10 grand They limited my account over a month ago and haven't been releasing funds. I was expecting to get them in 6 months, but now I've lost confidence. They've got 10 grand of mine and haven't answered in two weeks my question of when it will be released. |
triple filtered | 10-02-2012 05:36 PM | Ive looked into Plimus and registered but it seems I need a business Paypal account to be able to accept Paypal payments???
Whats the point of that??
Also, Im in the UK so Dwollas phone verification wont work |
gooroo | 10-03-2012 03:51 AM | Any alternatives? I have been used CCnow for four years. Everything until now was ok. No problems with payments, money transfer etc.
I have several sites which are using ccnow, and now I have to find some alternative. Do you recommend any other company with similar business model as ccnow, but with acceptance of PayPal?
Thank you |
oompaloompa | 10-03-2012 03:57 AM | re plimus - so upgrade to business pp then...you want to be paid via paypal and then withdraw back to paypal? also you can withdraw to your bank or cheque.
ccnow has 10G, OMG, I would sue them. |
CCN ow will release funds in 180 days |

They take ages to reply leaving you feeling terrible.
Provided everything sorts itself, you should not need to wait 6 months.
That is on a case by case basis however.
:peace: |
oompaloompa | 10-03-2012 09:27 AM | yeah all that worries me for that 10G poster, is if you say ccnow has closed, is that true? the parent company should still exist though - DR |

I only want to accept paypal payments. I dont want to have my own paypal account as chances are, it will get limited one day.
I never day any problems like that with CCNow |
airsealed | 10-04-2012 05:01 AM | Does anyone know of a platform similar to CCNow that allows email invoicing (without setting up a shopping cart) ? |

Many users searching now. | Found three so far.... ProPay.com (which apparently I'm already signed up for and have been paying for for several years but not using), PaySimple.com, and smallbusiness.westernunion.com The Paypal effect... making sellers take redundancy to the next level. Sad to hear about CCNow, but after a few drinks, it's really just saying farewell to the 3rd string payment service.

Email sent to ccn ow - seeing what is replied. That guy usually replies to me fairly quickly. |
cortex | 10-05-2012 07:58 AM | Just cleared out my funds
What a shame - the end of an era :-(
oh well...onto the next ....... :typing: |
oompaloompa | 10-05-2012 11:07 AM | yup just checked too, retiring ccnow as of december.... |
airsealed | 10-05-2012 08:24 PM | For those of us using their email invoice service, it's probably time to stop now, as their 'end of days' email specifies it's no longer supported as of the end of October. Oh well. |

So do any of the above accept Paypal payments via email invoicing? |
hercheys | 10-11-2012 11:29 PM | Platforms similar to CCNOW? 2CO you may send invoices via email standard html and supports API for your ecommerce. Paysimple is very unprofessional and not recommended by me at all, I have perfect credit and when they denied my account by an under writer (sitting at home not an office), came back a week later saying they had approved me. -_- told them to just close it.
Now Plimus is for Services, Download goods, sell Digital goods - Theres been confusions and supplier's have had their funds held. Just as Clickbank.com - a hard brick example.
Alternatives to paypal.
WePay.com - Does not offer a paypal intergration but is 25% better than using paypal reported online. I have an account and personaly no payments have been held yet (just an alternative) |
DoubleA | 10-11-2012 11:59 PM | They dont accept new accounts. |
razor | 10-12-2012 12:58 PM | I am using CCNow from past 5 years for my website, because PayPal still not come to my country so i use CCNow for PayPal Payments , I also use it for my eBay Payment and it's eBay Invoice system is fantastic. i love CCNow i even not got a single problem with CCNow in 5 years. It's Best because they hold orders before shipping , when u ship , mark it as ship and payment will process otherwise you can cancel order before shipping without any charge. they use fantastic Software / Script and also it's Cpanel is very easy to use.
But sadly now it's closing suddenly and i am very upset how i can get paypal payments from customers ? there is no alternative. i hope if some other big company own CCNow and it will run continuously. |
triple filtered | 10-13-2012 05:39 AM | Ive applied to 2CO, just waiting on my account going live.
Currently building my own website to run along side it so fingers crossed Ill be back selling soon |
razor | 10-30-2012 03:00 PM | Important CCNow Update - Continued support for invoicing & 3rd party carts
We have good news and an update! We are happy to announce that we are currently working with a strategic partner on a transition plan for your business. This partner is an established privately-owned payment group located outside the U.S.
Due to these developments, support for third-party shopping cart API's, eBay auction invoicing and customer invoicing will NOT be discontinued on October 31, 2012.
More information will be posted as soon as it is available. Your patience is appreciated.
Thank you. |
razor | 11-01-2012 05:27 PM | Anyone confirm this News? i mean any other CCNow client see this News in their CCNow Cpanel ?
please reply.
Thanks |
unresponsive support regarding the 10k they owe me Support refuses to tell me when they will release the $10,000 of my funds that they are holding on my closed account.
Every two weeks they send an email telling me that in two weeks they will tell me when they will release the funds.
They claim they are holding it due to high chargeback rates, however I've had very few chargebacks. Maybe two or three total out of hundreds of sales.
If this company continues operations, I'd be very wary of dealing with them. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:34 PM. | |
