Choice of Words to Accept CCNow Within Ebay?
Hello!
I am thinking about starting using Ebay as a seller sometime next year (2016), but I would not like to have PayPal as the default method of payment due to the problematic nature of it (difficulty to withdraw locally in some countries, linking accounts, limiting its use after reaching an amount, sometimes freezing the account, telephoning customers for no real reason, and what have you). However, I have read that CCNow (with the option of accepting PayPal payments from buyers) is an excellent alternative. I understand that I cannot automatically include CCNow as form of payment unless I have a merchant account, and I would need to invoice customers individually. Thus, my question is, do I just include something like this on my Ebay auctions: "Note: I don't accept PayPal directly but you can still use PayPal with CCNow after you win and after I send you a CCNow invoice". Will I have a problem with Ebay if I use those words? By that I mean if Ebay reads those words? Or do I have to be more subtle? If so, what words should I use?
On a related note, I understand that the real PayPal is the de facto standard, and sales could/will be somewhat or more than somewhat decreased if I use CCNow. But at least CCNow can accept PayPal which I think is much better than using a completely different method of payment (until or if Ebay decides to accept PayPal competitors as easily as it accepts PayPal).
Thanks,
Makabe
