Merchant account and what shows up on cust cc statement?
I am looking for an alternative to paypal so that I can accept credit cards. I only make an occasional sale through word of mouth totalling about $1500/month max. Unfortunately, PP gets all paranoid and starts calling everyone involved, holding money, etc. It sucks!
Due to a possible conflict of interest selling testing equipment to former employers, I was using a stealth PP acct and thus my invoices I emailed would have the stealth name and address on it also. Former co-workers order from me, and its better that their bosses not find out. On their monthly staements, their bosses sign off on it. Always said PayPal-xxxxx so it was still under the radar.
Are there any alternatives to PP and still remaining stealth?
Open a merchant acct with my real info, etc., but can I control what name shows up on the custmers credit card statement? Sometimes a phone number shows up too right? So I have a google voice number for that also.
Anything else you guys suggest? ccnow looks nice, but the 45 day wait won't cut it for me.
Sorry for the somewhat long post. I just want to get this right with a new way of accepting payments. |
