Calling paypal reps can be pretty useless there not really allowed to tell you exactly the reason why you were limited, otherwise that would just help everyone know exactly what not to do next time for their future stealth accounts.
Seems your paypal accounts are pretty new so most likely they limited you because you were marked as high risk for either doing too many transactions too quickly or for doing suspicious transactions, ie the people you were sending or receiving money from.
Then when you called she told you it was because the vpn, but they would never limit you just for using a "vpn". Majority of large business uses some type of VPN for security. Your account must of been marked as high risk for them to do a manual review, and then when you called they just told you what would get you off the phone faster. Would recommend starting slower in the future and splitting transactions between multiple accounts, also be careful how you spend or receive money especially on new accounts. |
