| | | alphaversa | 04-30-2009 03:58 PM | After 180 day hold expires - Bank Account Transfer Question So...my 180 day holds are coming off of a lot of accounts lately. I can get out about $18,000.00 from 7 accounts right now. I'm trying to figure the best way to do this. Does anyone know if you can withdraw all the money to just ONE bank account instead of having to open up 7?
Like transfer one paypal funds and then once they hit the bank account take the banking information off of that paypal account and then add the bank account to the next paypal and withdraw again and so on and so forth?
I mean, it doesn't matter if they link them after 180 days? |
Didn't you originally, had to have a bank account linked to each of your limited PayPal accounts? If so, why the question? If we are talking here 18K, than that's cca $2500 per account on average.. kinda hard to believe you would not originally have bank account linked to this PayPal already. So, maybe you closed them all after you got limited? Even harder to believe knowing all his money has to land somewhere after 180 days. It just does not make sense to me, sorry.:pop2: |
| GreenBean | 04-30-2009 05:16 PM | There will be a problem for you. If there is no bank account attached to these accounts under the 180 day limitation you can no longer add one to transfer funds.
Bearing in mind we both have a certain history, please understand that this is something I have checked with people. When that rotten trick stopped, paypal also changed what it permitted limited account holders to do to obtain their funds. :peace: |
| NO ID | 04-30-2009 06:27 PM | That sucks |
| hitch | 04-30-2009 11:30 PM | ouch, good luck man. You better get ID's and just cash the checks |

On March 4th, Paypal did a system wide limitation that hit almost all my accounts that were already on 180 day holds. The "suspicious activity with a bank account linked to your Paypal account" BS email. This REMOVED all bank accounts I already had on file. Therefore, you have to add a new bank account to withdraw.
I did that today with one of my 7 accounts that have funds available and they accepted the new account. The funds are "processing" now. On monday I will delete the bank account from this account and try to add the same bank account to the next Paypal account. If this works, I will reserve this account as the bank account I use to empty the 180 day limitations for now on. That would be easy (which usually means it won't work). We'll see lol. |
| Vicvelcro | 05-01-2009 03:10 PM | I've 'moved' my bank account with PP a few times over the years. One of my calls to their help line led to an interesting conversation. Part of that conversation had to do with deleting a bank account on file and then reusing it with another PP account. They have a limit of 3 times. After that, the fourth PP won't accept the bank account. This information is based on a phone call placed about 2 years ago. The details were specific, the rules may have changed. |
| cortex | 05-01-2009 03:14 PM | after the 180 day hold..what happends to the funds in the pp account?? |
| Vicvelcro | 05-01-2009 03:21 PM | If you have a bank account on file, they transfer you the money. If not, they mail a check to the address on file in the name which is registered to PP. |
| cortex | 05-03-2009 06:15 AM | i hope so!
i keep reading on the forum that they send you a cheque.
Is this true, or do you have the OPTION of wiring to your bank account, or do they just send a cheque without asking you? |
| ebaykilla | 05-04-2009 07:28 AM | they give you the option. keep that bank account active and you should be fine. |
| GreenBean | 05-04-2009 08:03 AM | Keep not only the bank account but the email and given postal address. I had emails AND letters for different accounts. Also keep a diary note so you know when it is going to happen.:peace:
Sit down a minute, cortex 'cos this might scare you. In 98% of cases
paypal does release the money after 180 days. But sometimes it can take longer.:pout: |
| oompaloompa | 05-04-2009 08:10 AM | can you say youve moved if no bank was attached and its stealth address? |

It all depends on the type of limitation whether or not they will hastle you after 180 days. Usually there isn't a problem. |
| cortex | 05-04-2009 05:12 PM | i can wait 180 days..no problemo |
| silentnyt | 05-12-2009 07:27 AM | Paypal held my money and now the 180 days is up. I got an email that my money is available, sign in and tell them how I want it sent (check or bank acct). I signed in but can't get to the money because they want my SS #. I put the SS # in but get a message they can't verify my SS #.
It's a stealth account - I followed the stealth guide to the letter so now how do I get them to release the money if the SS # can't be verified?
I posted this somewhere on the forum yesterday but can't find it. Sorry for the duplicate post. |

I haven't had a problem yet with adding a bank account after 180 days. One time I thought I was going to have a problem but all I had to do was call in and provide them with one of my nice looking face IDs and they cleared it manually :) |
| deeznuts | 06-02-2009 04:46 PM | I have a question. I have an account that is limited, but says that I am still able to receive money in it. All it claims to need to remove the limitation, is a bank account linked, and a phone #. It has now been limited for 3 months, so it will come off its current limitation in another 3 months.
My question is this...what would happen to this account if I waited 2 and a half months (so it only had 2 weeks left on limitation), added a bank account, and then did something stupid with it, that got it limited again lol. Would the limitation still be released in 2 weeks, or would they add an additional 180 days, or would they release only the amount that was initially held?
I have no intentions of attempting this...I'm just going to add my bank account and phone, and try to stay under the radar after that, but I'd still like to know exactly how such a situation would be treated. Any ideas? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:55 AM. | |
