Conclusion:
If you are selling non-risky, you are fine anyway.
If you are selling high risk, you are also fine if you start slowly with non-risky.
If you are using the aged account, you can fly anywhere.
If you are selling high risk and don't want to start with non-risky, change the items name for each account.

How aged do paypal accounts have to be before 'you can fly anywhere".

This is what's happening to me. Going over a "certain dollar amount". My new account was going along just fine. First item sold was a bike part that I bought from mt legit eBay acct and shipped to me. Left positive feedback yada yada. Started selling my items..slowly everything was under $25. Sold 30 items $400 in sales. After the 3rd week I listed an item for $59.99...sold it and BAM...PayPal limited. This has happened twice with that same dollar amount.

I am looking for the magic amount too. From my experience, it is about $80-100 on an new paypal.

I paid 37$ to extend my membership over this topic so I really hope this topic ends up with a conclusion.

I haven't tried to withdraw on this new account but I usually don't until after the 90 day mark when I add a BA and 21 day hold is gone. I'll buy things using the account but haven't yet.

1. Verify your account from first day. Adding a bank account just later on is stupid and madness!

Still as of this day since this topic has came out, I have listed items on accounts that are new and/or aged over 2 months. The items I am listing are non-risky and under $10. I have done this with over 20 accounts so far. No problems from ebay, and no problems from paypal.

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

Largely depends on the category and/or the dollar amount.

There are some categories (high risk) that will trigger limitation regardless of the dollar amount on first transaction.

As long as your item is low risk and under say $10 or $20 you should be OK until the account can be "broken in" over time to build history on PayPal.

It should go without saying that a PayPal account with no transaction history is extremely volatile.

It'd really help if you can just share what category or even the items that you are selling btw. This will tell us a lot.

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

I understand the need to make a profit as quickly as possible, but wouldn't it be worth the investment of time to make around 30 sales with some non risky stuff before graduating to riskier items? This way you don't have pp accounts going down one after the other? The amount of limitations that are happening by selling these risky items seems like a much bigger time waste than just taking some time to build a handful of accounts properly.
