Interesting Observation..

So Today I called in about a limited paypal,

They are requesting these documents,
1 SSN
2 ID
3 Invoices
4 Proof of Delivery

I called and very politey spoke to the rep and said hey i dont think i really did anything wrong , im a powerseller etc..

He says no worries about the other documents, we only really care about the ID.
HE also said if I was able to upload the ID while i was on the phone with him, he could unlimit the account!

Ill keep you guys updated. Im going to try just the ID and see how it goes!! I have a good feeling about this one.

Other limitations they make it more clear sayng things like "you violated our terms or policy etc" APparently the rep says i did nothing wrong, just need to verify Identity.

PP have upped their system now.. I had a rep say the same thing that we only want ID and as soon as I gave her the stealth id she permanently limited it.

So it seems like the Paypal Rep tried to confirm the ID and could not, so your account was shut down,,,so what kind of ID did you give the Paypal rep?,,it important so others here may try another form of ID and hopefully report a better result.

Rule number 1, never trust the sweet talk of a PP or eBay rep.
Rule number 2, read above.

I always expect the worst, becuase it's usually what will happen. They don't want your ID to unlimit you, they want it so that they can keep you out.

Many of my friends have given them LEGIT everything, ID, SSN, Invoices, Receipts, etc etc etc and they get limited permanently.

The few instances people get unlimited is luck

paypal almost always only needs ID if you call in and ask.

Successfully unlimited this account with only an ID, yes I thought that was strange also but it worked.

They wanted other documents, invoices, supplier info, I called a 2nd time, told they lady the guy earlier I spoke to said I only needed ID.

Asked her to check his notes, she said hold on, got back few min later and it was all good!

There is a method to the madness its trial and error.
I was very specific about asking them what I needed, Apparently I had not done anything wrong , they said it was strictly ID verification.

On another note, I resolved a 2nd limited account also today! I think I have it figured out. I have 3 more accounts limited Im going to work on also.

NICEEEEEEEE OP... usually ssn request means your acct is dead... BUT alot of factors can change that... if your not selling high risk stuff and no complaints from customers etc...

Did you just provide the ID of the other limited accounts?

Worthy note: If you call in and get a bad agent, it's worth trying again...as shown by the post

i used to call before 3-4 times, until I find a helpful rep :D sometimes, there are reps really wants to help you out

so they said they cant verify the passport for one of my limited accounts, do they actually have the ability to look up the passport or Drivers license number?

yea they can cross reference numbers with 3rd party agencies. Ive never got one unlimited by submitting docs, Ive tried on 6 different accounts before I gave up

I have always advised people to go ahead and try but chances are very low it'll be successful.

So always have back up accounts ready to go.

Yea I think sometimes they verify the DL# or passport# but not in all casese.

So today , on a different account.. i called in they asked for all info, ID , SSN, invoices...

They Just removed the limitation without me providing anything other than supplier info and tracking numbers..

That I found to be super strange, but hell I will take it along with my $2,000! lol

The rules and the way they are interpreted seem to vary by whatever rep you get that day... I was not expecting them to re-instate my paypal at all.

But sometimes it seems like they just may want you to phone in and acknowledge that you will follow their rules etc (customers always come first blah blah)

This is the 2nd time within 2 weeks I had a paypal restored without providing all the info they requested.

With the 1st account I called in 2 -3 times then got a rep who was like yea we may be able to remove the limitation right now ..

2nd account unlimited today - I just called in he put me on hold for 5 mins, said the reason for limitation was disputes, large sales increase, returns.
It seems that was their main concern to validate I had the products and was going to make good on the disputes.
