Paypal Requesting Identity Verification
Hi,
My less than 6 month old business paypal account is not limited ( yet ).
I've received the following email yesterday from paypal :
Thank you for choosing PayPal as your preferred way to pay and get paid.
Providing our customers with a safer payment environment is important to us. As part of our continuous efforts in delivering this commitment and complying with regulatory requirements, we need you to confirm your identity at a particular milestone with us.
You're about to reach your account balance limit. Please provide more information to confirm your identity. Just click the button below to provide the required documents.
Things that I've done:
1) During the account creation process I chose one of the EU countries that allows card withdrawals. I do not live in that country. I did however put my correct address in, just the country would be incorrect. All other paypal information is correct, i.e Business Name, my Name, my phone number, card details etc.
2) I'm selling a product that I'm pretty sure violates Paypals TOS. My paypal account has had a big volume of transactions to date. I've refunded all disputes volantarily and all cases closed by Paypal. Disputes equals around 0.46 percent of transaction volume.
Questions I have
1) How long do I have before they limit my account for not sending the documents? I'm trying to get the money out of Paypal before I send the documents in case something happens.
2) What is the likely hood of them limiting my account due to my address verifying to a different country?
Thanks in advance |
