Default 180 days no email??

So my account got limited and last payment received was June 26 2017. i still dont have any email from paypal so want to check is it 180 working days or just 180 days?

How long have you guys had to wait? and do you need to send doc over before you can take out the money. i have doc for the account but are over 6 months old, gas bill etc.

Any help would be great, just want to get the money now and forget about the account.

Thanks.

What exactly did you do when you were first limited?

Need to know as it determines what will happen.

The date of the last payment is not when the 180 days count starts.
It starts when you actually get limited. So when was the account actually limited?
Its just 180 days (not 180 business days).

I have a question about this and I believe this may have changed but I am unsure yet.

If a paypal account is limited and they are requesting docs, and you do not provide the docs, does the 180 days still start on the day it was limited? Or will the 180 days not start until docs are approved or denied?

I know in the past it has always been 180 days after limitation regardless of docs or no docs, but has this recently changed?

I can tell you in about 10 days. Account was limited & requesting docs then perm limited. Been getting e-mails asking for docs several times since then referencing the initial limit. We'll see if the 180 day trumps that.

So far it hasn't changed yet, but from what I have seen UK has a more strict procedure.

USA so far is untouched and is still the 180 days.

Same issue, my money should've been free to withdraw mid December, still no email, tried emailing them but just got some automated response. I have contacted financial ombudsman about them, seen someone else having success with that on here.. will see how that goes.

I was getting periodic e-mails to upload my documents. When 180 days came due from limitation, my funds were available to withdraw.

If anyone doesn't plan on 'getting creative' with their account documents.. you can send an image/pdf/whatever acceptable file type that has a statement saying that you basically do not agree to send the documentation for privacy purposes. That'll get your appeal denied and your 180 day limitation will start.

Do you mean , that 180 days counts after another limitation?
In my case: acc limited 2017-01 . After 180 days they asked id to let funds out. I hhave uploaded my id abt they refused it. I Have appealed on 2017-09 ant then got email that my account permanently limited . Is there any chances that I will be able to withdraw my funds after another 180 days?,thanks

New trend is they will usually ask for ID to verify after 180 days, ESPECIALLY for UK accounts.

I have kind of a similar case in Canada.....one day my paypal got limited without any reason....but when I called in they mentioned that I am permanently limited due to my ID which I submitted 1 year ago was not legit.....so I have wait 180 days to get the funds out.....so maybe they will ask me again for ID to release funds close to MAY? anyone from Canada recently got their funds releases? thanks.

wait, they NOW , which is 1 year later say that your ID is not legit?

It sounds like something else triggered the manual check on your previously provided ID and not just the ID itself that caused the limitation.

From what I have seen... it's likely they'll ask for another ID to verify after the 180 days.
Do you still have your bank account attached to it for withdrawal? I hope that you can just withdraw no problem. So in the mean time, don't call anymore and wait and see.

yes....I don't know what triggered it.....no return request or anything....all positive and happy clients.....during routine check they found out and previous agent didn't notice that the id is invalid....go figure....I am not calling them but maintaining the Fresh IP and cookies....and yes bank account is attached which I used to withdraw with.....if they ask for another id I don't know what to do in that case...thanks.

urgent: question to the members....lets say after 180days my funds get released should I transfer money which is about $5000 USD ( I know I know I am stupid to keep such money in gaypal) all at once or 1000 at a time? I don't want my bank to flag me for huge transfer for mismatched name.....or is it a one time shot for limited paypal account? thanks !

Oh I'd absolutely transfer ALL of it in one swoop. There's no reason not to.
And it shouldn't be a problem for your bank either. That's the least of your concern.

If anything, you can even change that bank account you have from a personal to a business if that'll make you feel better receiving that huge amount.

About the check, I personally have not had that happen to me, because they usually don't just go around to random ID checks, rather they'll check an ID when there's an issue that they are looking into.

thanks saijin.....I don't know what triggered it....no negative balance....all my shipments had tracking....no chargebacks no refund issue....all of a sudden limited....IP was not an issue as I use Fresh IP and user account for all of my accounts....it is a mystery....lets see what happens next after 180 days if they ask for another id to release funds.
