What actually happens after 180 days

I have two accounts that are no limited with Medium limit. I tried calling in on the one and now they want a State ID. if I wait the 180 days, What are the odds I will actually have that money? Will I, 100%, be able to withdraw that money? If not why?

Thank you

Re: What actually happens after 180 days

This depends on if they accept your ID or not.

Prior indications are that if the ID is not valid and verifiable via 3rd party databases, it may be rejected.

Refuse to give PayPal what they want and you might not be able to get your money.

How are you suppose to give them what they want if its a completely stealthed account?

Re: What actually happens after 180 days

Either that, or wait out the 180 days and *hope* you are permitted to withdrawal the funds. Sometimes you can do that, esp. if you keep calling and get a rep that is willing to override the ID requirement for you.

Some people are saying lately that they never get their money back at all. There's a bunch of threads on it here, scroll through the PP discussion board.

I wonder with the new USER AGREEMENT might come a change? It does say

"If we have not verified your identifying information, a balance in your PayPal account can generally only be held in your PayPal account and transferred to a linked bank account or debit card."

What does that mean to y'all?

If you turn a stealth paypal into an LLC before they ask for verification, would that be a work around?

How much is tied up in Paypal now?
That would be a terrible waste of time and effort along with resources and an EIN.

If they did not remove your bank account, you should have no problem withdrawing at 181 days from date of last receiving payment.

IF you never had a bank, you most likely will have troubles adding it. IF they removed your bank, then you are going to have problems.

That's not what countless threads are saying.

Post them up.

Lets see the countless USA accounts with paypal not allowing withdrawals if you have a bank attached.

Ive just currently hit the 180 day mark. The panic has set in and I have 20k + that I'm hoping they are going to release. [emoji30][emoji30]

In my experience yankee is correct about this. The two PP's I've had perma-limited in my career had banks attached at the time of limitation and were able to withdraw without any problems after 180 days.

:noidea:

My very first PP account got limited, like 15 years ago, and I forgot about the money in it. They eventually sent it to my state, to whatever department does money claims.

I didn't know that until this year. State no longer has it. I guess they only keep it so long! haha

I'm sure!

I did have some money in there for something else, though. I suggest everyone look into their states' version of this. Might get some free money! Seems like mine might have been some sort of insurance reimbursement... I forget.

Update - my 20k was released today. Day 185 or something like that. Had to provide extra ID though
