That's incredible news! I'm so glad it actually helped someone - who knows, perhaps you could have got there on your own, but I'm sure most people just don't think it's possible or worth fighting for.

I saw from your other post that, like me, you also had your first limitation due to age, so just wanted to mention that here in case it helps someone else (being that it won't be held against you).

Treasure your account, but don't abuse it as you can still trip automated flags.

Stealth accounts are for use on eBay/PayPal. They are just like regular accounts. Their difference is in the details.

Appeals can be successful.

In all fairness, I have to say that the scene with UK/EU accounts has changed.

Careful account creation at the very beginning is the crux of Stealth.

It had for sure as we’re getting suspended for Doing nothing lol

Hey there,

I intentionally held back from responding to this (even after writing out a reply) as I've never been a stealth user, so was hoping someone else could better advise.

This thread/guide is mainly an effort to help companies and first-time account holders keep their names clear for life (instead of banned for life). As stealth accounts are the easy way out of a ban/limitation, it wouldn't make sense to put in as much time as we did to try and restore them.

There is always a reason for a ban, but as PayPal usually won't disclose what it is, one half of the effort is working out why yourself. It would be hard to formally address PayPal about a problem/concern you don't know about - understanding their concerns is key to an effective appeal. This is often simple, especially when the ban follows a spike or abnormality in your activity, however, with the added complexity of stealth accounts (linking, documents, authenticity), there are endless possibilities, many of which would be unappealable.

Currently, the response times from PayPal via the BBB are looking as long as 1 month; surely, this thread has somewhat contributed to the delay, compared to the 1 or 2-day response when we reached out. The Financial Ombudsman is probably faster at this point, but I don't know for sure as we had to withdraw midway.

Time and persistence is something you need a lot of to even enter a battle with PayPal. I think when it comes to registered companies, you'll acknowledge stealth is not an option and therefore would be prepared to do anything. It's just a question of how much stability, convenience, and future potential you want for your business.

I just saw your post, and it really gives me hope. We got placed under limitation today and without paypal our business crumbles.

I now have over 70k stuck in our paypal and I'm losing money by the minute. Severely depressed, and could really do with your help writting an effective letter. If you could PM me would be so helpful

70k? WTF, how did you ever store money in paypal. Get them out instantly, never store anything larger than $100 in paypal.

Just hire a lawyer and sue them if you have 70k in paypal. That is ridiculous, as long as you are not selling anything illegal, court will side with you.

Yeah that is insane. Paypal should have special reps for big accounts like this.

Just goes to show how stupid Paypal really is.

Did not work. I was able to get in touch with exec office via BBB, and they said they can't restore the account due to risk when selling virtual items and chargebacks involved as well. I countered all the points they made in my reply, using solid facts and reasoning. They replied and said their decision remains unchanged. I'll have to wait til February to withdraw.

RIght, I expected that. Virtual items are quite risky to sell on eBay.

Also I normally wait 180 days, but I think I might try the BBB route.

I'm doing research on this matter, and I think you should file another complaint depending on how bad you funds released or if you want to just wait.

Yea, they are afraid of the chargebacks for such products if you use their service.

Just like traditional credit card services, too many chargebacks and they'll not only increase your % but they will end up canceling you as well.

Worth looking into a different payment processor perhaps - thought people are used to PP, you could try different ways of accepting credit card or so

TheyBannedMe - How long did it take to hear from the Executive Office from the time you opened your BBB complaint? I opened my complaint 15 days ago and still no word from PayPal. I wrote them yesterday threatening a Federal Lawsuit (not small claims) I have hired a legit federal attorney.
