Default STOLEN FUNDS - PayPal's Damages Caused by Acceptable Use Policy Violation

Hi,

my account was limited for 180 days and my funds is supposed to be available by next month..

i check the account and see that paypal took my funds. I have been reading that some people have sent out a legal letter to Paypal's department in San Jose and have gotten good feedback.

Does anyone have any more recent experience and success with this?

Here is the thread I was able to find

9k! Man alive...

Did you constantly log in to see it slowly disappear, or it all went at once?

And yes, take legal action if theres no explanation for that sort of money.

i can't comment on this, other than..It's never happened to me, and I've been AUP suspended before. I suspect...It's something to do with drugs or something illegal.

Who leaves $9k sitting in their PP account unless drugs are somehow involved?

I've been saying who leaves this and that over the year but the reality is I am guilty of letting funds build up as well now all because it's such a chore maintaining multiple stealths and ensuring you have enough to always handle refunds etc.

It can happen to anyone.

The question is what category of items were you selling ? as that will be the reason why the AUP kicked in.

So is there no way to get that money back?

im seeing people posting about writing a legal letter to sort of threaten that they will sue paypal and paypals will usually send back their funds after that is received since they do not want to deal with the lawsuit.

But i have not gotten any confirmation about anyone actually successfully doing this.

Can anyone shed light on this?

What category were your sales? Don't need to get into specific items

Paypal legal dept and outside law firms (clerks) take care of these cases.

No

But if it were a stealth account, would I not be able to go through with it?
What documents do companies like Letter Dash require before submitting a letter?
