PayPal temporary limited! Phone Verification is not Working!
 

Well, I have been using a US PayPal account for years and it was linked with a virtual us bank. It recently turned temporary limited while mistakenly issuing a refund in excess of my available balance. However later it asked me to complete 3 steps to remove limitation - confirm bank that I already did, change password that I did too and confirm identity by phone number or personal ID that I could not able to complete. I used to use a virtual text number but when I click to confirm identity with it, it says 'sorry we cant confirm its you'.

Even when I try to log in I receive 'add a phone number ' and later if I add a different virtual number it says 'this type of phone number is not supported '.

Do I need a real sim number? Can't figure out exactly what to do! Any helpful guide will be highly appreciated. Thanks to All In Advance.

Hi letitgo, Did you solve this problem, because I have same problem more than a month ago and I have not been able to find a solution until this moment.

Youll need to use a REAL phone number. Virtual numbers will not work.
Note it can take several weeks/months for that number to be accepted for verification purposes.

Use services with real phone numbers not virtual and after add this phone number, call customer support for confirmation your new phone number, they will send you a text, after that- your phone number would be confirmed and it should helps you to solve the problem.

Talk customer PayPal they will resolve it in 48h/

Would TELLO work? Does it have to be the primary number or can it be set to secondary?

How did you manage to refund more than your Paypal balance?
Did Paypal debit your bank account for the difference?

@ivany34, you run thd risk of getting phone numbers that may already had issues on eb...
