| | | | | rapidsloth | 04-22-2025 02:26 PM | PayPal: Account has been permanently deactivated Today paypal permanently limited my brother's and his wife's account, i guess the both logged in from same device at some point, is there any chance that it could get reactivated? My brother only received 120 Canadian dollars yesterday and it was the biggest payment in the past few years which triggered.
Is this automatic reply? Can we get it reactivated somehow? This is frustrating because my brother isnt very tech savy. Whats the best course of action if we want to contact paypal in Canada (email or phone)
By the email message he received below the statement is very unclear about what the culprit is, its just: Based on the information we have today, it appears that there was activity on this account that we cannot process.
Full message: We’re no longer offering PayPal services for this account
We strive to provide our customers with seamless and user-friendly services. Unfortunately, sometimes we’re unable to offer services to an account for a variety of reasons, including local laws, our policies, or the policies of our partners. Why is this happening?
Based on the information we have today, it appears that there was activity on this account that we cannot process. What can you do with your account?
Your account has been permanently deactivated. However, you can still view your transaction history, download account statements, or request copies of your data. What about funds left in your account?
Any funds remaining in your account are available for withdrawal or automatic transfer to your bank depending on how PayPal works where you are located. You can also view your transaction history, download account statements, or request copies of your data. How can you learn more?
To learn more about the types of activity we can't process, read the Supported Activity section in our Help Center. |

Since you said you and you wife have been using the same device,do you think Paypal suspects there is only 1 person with multiple accounts. |
Re: PayPal: Account has been permanently deactivated *Paypal link*
You could try this page and look at options for contact: http://www.paypal.com/ca/cshelp/contact-us
Sadly, pp agents aren't known to be the brightest/helpful these days but here's hoping you have a good positive experience... |

If the clerk knows it all,he would not be working for Paypal customer service. |

Minimum wage or not, there should be expectation for knowledgeable customer service - even though that may not be the case... |
| agent006140 | 04-23-2025 10:08 AM | Re: PayPal: Account has been permanently deactivated I would say if the person signs up for its service,he should read all the rules and guidelines ,not to expect someone to explain to him.
I bet these are the people who expect breakfast served in bed FREE
Also if he thinks the service is subpar, with ignorant, rude staff, then he should immediately cancel his service and seek other services and be willing to pay for such service.
BTW,if you open an account to accept credit card payments with a bank, you get better service,in case of chargeback,it will speak, fight for you by contacting the other bank while Paypal just say -you have a chargeback, sorry .you lost and here is $25 chargeback fee you have to pay.
when you receive a cc payment, you can also call your provider to check out if it is legit. |
