Default Paypal Limited - Need Cash For CC!

I bought a few high priced items (4k each) recently and even after have sold about 30k worth of stuff on my ebay / paypal account they decided to limit it.

I was able to get 4k out with the rest left in the account.

What options do I have to withdraw this? Does this 180 day rule apply as soon as the account is limited (Or how do you know when the 180 day is left)? I really need the money to pay back the credits cards that I ordered the item on.

I already sent in all my verification information. The problem is a sibling in the past had a buyer scam them of a high priced item (We are currently in a claims lawsuit against this buyer). Of course Paypal sided with the buyer as soon as they did a charge back eventhough we have more than enough evidence of us following the rules and her flat out lying. So paypal is linking my account to my siblings and saying I need to pay the negative balance in her account.

Our lawyer already told us we should not pay that back because the defendant can use that as an admission of guilt...

So am I stuck with my account being limited and funds froze eventhough the dispute is on a siblings account? Is there anyway i can get the funds out?

Hi, sounds messy. On a common sense basis if you can prove you and your sibling are seperate entities then they cannot force YOU to repay the negative balance on their account or apply your funds against it.

Best case scenario you will have to wait the 180 days to get your funds, but the countdown won't start until you get the permanent limitation/parting of ways email from PP.

If they attempt to withold your funds then a strongly worded letter from your solicitor may speed things along.

Thanks for the quick reply Captain Jack.

They say they have numerous "links" between me and my siblings account (well i'm sure they do since we did live in the same household for a period so ip / address ). But when asked for more info they say they can't disclose anything by privacy laws. They wouldn't help me at all and the CSR was actually extremely rude about it.

So in general how do I make it move on to the 180 days permanent limitation? I really can't wait 6 months since it's all on credit card but getting it back eventually is better than never getting it back. I can't believe this ridiculous situation.

As you have already submitted the docs required there isn't much else you can do apart from ringing them and asking when/how you are going to get your funds and what else if anything they require from you. Obviously continue to firmly deny the other account is yours. Also ask to speak to a supervisor or someone higher up the chain!

Beyond that as I said something from your solicitor might move things along.
