PayPal withdraw money from credit card

Hi there

My paypal fall in negative balance as customer reversed transaction and the funds is been held and reviewed by PyPal.

I have closed my bank account for safety reason, but I can't remove my cc details as it is negative.

Do you guys think that PP can withdraw money from my cc to cover the negative balance>

Thanks

I'm interested in this as well..I'm leaning towards "no", that they just send creditors..but i'm not sure.

I may be in a similar situation. If I close the bank account right after transferring the funds out, will that render paypal unable from retrieving funds from it?

Paypal will look for any possible way to get the money from you if you owe them money. And then they will lie about it if u go to the bank complaining, they will say you allowed them to take money from you. They will

paypal is not allowed to touch anything in your bank/credit card

Paypal/Ebay make their own rules. They will just say your account had a chargeback and try to charge or withdraw the money from any account of file.

I'm sorry but your pretty stupid if you belive that.

Cancel the credit card and contact your bank and remove the direct debit instruction. (you can do this online aswell)

once you do this it will be impossible for paypal to "take" money

if you do not do this you run the risk of them taking any money them deem appropriate.

Read the terms of service more carefully

The ONLY way to make sure this doesn't happen is to close the account.

But you cannot close it if it is limited. So better money in your own pocket then :juggle:

I've been negative tons of times, they never tried to pull from CC.

However, you can "restore your negative balance" using a CC. I find this option interesting because you can't normally add funds via CC.

I would resolve your negative balance quickly, unless you want to lose the account.

You can close your bank account whenever you want.

restoring your negative balance isn't exactly adding funds, you're repaying whatever vendor, or customer caused your account to go into the negative.

when people say close there bank account do they mean close as in no longer use?

Why would you do that?

siccspitz 05-31-2010 01:33 AM

report card stolen
best way i know but then you loose any funds

if restricted

First Edition 06-06-2010 10:45 AM

You close the bank account so paypal cannot take money from you after the account goes down.

I wouldn't recommend reporting a card lost or stolen. If you do this frequently, it can lower your credit score. And your bank will only allow this to happen to many times before they decide you're a risky customer, and give you the boot.

Ask your bank for a new account number, make PayPal look like the bad guy (because they are).
That's what I did and my bank issued me a new card number as well as account number.
You could tell them you've tried unsuccessfully to retract your banking details and want to protect your account.

Tell the bank that your ecommerce login was hacked and PP is being slow to protect you, so you want the bank to help you protect yourself AND the bank.
