| oompaloompa | 09-21-2010 12:10 PM | yes from your aunts city would add extra weight, all legit details? ok thats a bonus in terms of the way docs will look....but an online fax site can do it too if you like, cant say Ive noticed much difference |
| bmwsouthside | 09-21-2010 12:14 PM | thanks because I dont want them to have any excuses. I bought the items from a legit source so the documents are legit and the items are real thing no knockoffs.
where I bought it from may carry some weight too because its very well known and respected.
is there any good fax number to use or should I use the number they giv eme with that scan marks on it? |

I bought the items here and im selling them here in nevada..
her address is on the paypal and ebay which is in another city.
family memeber was sick so im working from here right now 2 hours away.
so should i fax them from where i bought the items and selling from or from where she is (address on paypal and ebay) see why I see advantages to both? |
| bmwsouthside | 09-21-2010 12:56 PM | im guessing nobdy else has time to comment on this..I will just go with my best thoughts and do what I know how to do.
its all legit so I shouldnt have ny problems ut with paypal dishonesty you never know |
| FandangoKango | 09-21-2010 01:00 PM | good luck! let us know. it's a 50/50. |
Use the number they give on scan sheet. As for exact location, does not make much difference as long as everything is clear and in order. Also depends a lot on what you are selling and risk assessment.
All the best. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-21-2010 01:33 PM | thank you guys for all the help. im going to send it from the city im in because the ip will match up to city where the items are listed right now.
Like I said its all legit info so im just hoping I dont have any issue with it.
we are dealing with dishonest people at paypal. they lied to one of my customers recently. paypal have no remorse for what they do. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-21-2010 01:39 PM | thanks guys for all your help. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-22-2010 01:10 PM | these people are not releasing accounts in florida without ssn. completed all steps but ssn. talked to aa limitations specialist supervisor. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-22-2010 01:11 PM | paypal is not releasing without ssn. |
Tell us something we don't know =( sorry to hear that |
| bmwsouthside | 09-22-2010 04:46 PM | luckily its not stealth, it is a real account with a relatives name so we do have a ssn to give them. he is cool with it and we provided all the info. Just waiting on paypal to release it now. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-25-2010 06:24 PM | ACCOUNT IS FINALLY RESTORED WITH $1700 in it They finally restored the account but not without giving the ssn.
It was a very tricky deal but all is good.
I tried to get around it but he wouldnt budge.
ssn or you wont get the money.
had to make 2 phones calls 2 days apart but it worked. |
| smithgroup | 09-25-2010 09:18 PM | Good work! You're one of the elite few. |
| bmwsouthside | 09-27-2010 04:17 PM | thanks. Because I know I screwed up and didnt log off the other usernames that was suspended.
I just created a new username and logged in ebay and paypal several times and listed a few items for a few days straight to make it look like I was logging in from same computer and ip for a few days. I believe that helped.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE ONCE THEY RESTORE ACCOUNT THEY WILL CALL ALL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS.
THEY CALLED ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT PACKAGE DELIVERY. MAKE SURE YOUR PACKAGES DO NOT HAVE ANY INFORMATION THAT WILL LINK YOU TO ANY SUSPENDED ACCOUNTS.
THEY HAVE CALLED ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS SINCE THEN ASKING IF ITEMS HAVE ARRIVED AND ASKING OTHER QUESTIONS. BE CAREFUL! |

| kirkie | 09-27-2010 08:01 PM | They are getting hardcore, calling customers, never heard of that yet.. |
| FandangoKango | 09-27-2010 10:30 PM | calling customers? PAYPAL HAS TO GO DOWN SOMEDAY! im reading paypal forums and alot of people are upset with them also. too bad you can't post in the paypal forums if your account is limited or closed. |
Not that unusual. I have had two payment gateways in the past call customers first few sales. CCNow and 2checkout. one of them, 2checkout i think did it for all orders for 6 weeks. BUT they just confirmed delivery. It makes you look shady and I was not too happy. So I started to email new customers that they may get a "security phone call" to make sure they are indeed card holder. Being proactive made it look better for me. Cant see doing that with PayPal, what a nightmare that would be.
They dont have the manpower to do this for everyone thats for sure. It must be something unique.
EDIT: PayPal taking this kind of step could be a sign they are locking up too many innocent sellers and they are getting hit with too much backlash. They are not ones to put extra man hours into following up on sellers. They usually just pull the plug if they have any doubts at all. Something like this could be a sign that they might be lowering the bar a tiny bit. Just thinking out loud, but if their shotgun, automatic guilty verdict approach is piling up too many honest folks they may feel they need to loosen the noose a tad.... |
| bmwsouthside | 10-05-2010 06:26 PM | hopeful but rememebr pod, im with you on that. they called 2 of my customers and asked about me. that was rough they scared my customers and had them thinking i was a thief too. it is my thinking that something is changing but dont count on it you are dealing with evil paypal. I believe they will ask for ssn from now on. I dont think they will back down from it so we have to fight them because nobody likes to give out ssn. They are ruining the lives of sellers by the thousands. Too many innocent victims in their take all down attitude and you would have to believe after we complain to senators and congress so much somebody will put a stop to paypal and ebay.
I even got them to release some holds yesterday BEFORE positive feedback to the tune of about $900 for 4 different sales. I believe im getting lucky with nice paypal employees. The first guy was tough and I had to use some game on him.The lady yesterday was very sweet. I told her I loved her country and would visit next year for vacation because I hear its so beautiful there :) |

| blkdude | 10-06-2010 08:01 AM | It's time to get a merchant account folks. If you have bad credit work on it now! Because who wants to put up with Paypal's CRIP |
but from so many threads, vendor accounts are not always so much better a choice |
Fees are stiffer on merchant accounts but the key is volume - if you dabble, don't bother - if you're serious, yes - sure it's 5% abouts vs 1.9 or 2.9 from paypal - yes you will have longer holds but if you're working ok, you will operate well with merchant account - especially if it accepts paypal. | | All times are GMT -5.
