Default After 180 days?

Well it has been 181 days since my limitation and I still cannot withdraw my money. Does anyone know why? Or what steps to take etc? Also when does the 180 days begin?

With regard to the funds currently being held, if the limitation remains
and there are funds in your account, the remaining account balance would
be held for a period of 180 days in order to minimise charge back risks.
I can confirm that the 180 days is calculated from the last transaction
within your PayPal account. Therefore, your funds would be available
around the middle of February 2011. However, any Buyer Complaints or
chargebacks received against your account during this time will be paid
from your account balance. After the 180-day period has elapsed, you may
withdraw the funds from your account. After 180 days have passed, we
would contact you to receive any remaining balance. At that point, you
can withdraw the money from your account.

Call up PayPal. If it has really been 180 days since your last transaction, its all good. If they won't let you withdraw, ask them how much longer you have to wait.

THEN CALL BACK. You might get lucky with another agent.

Record the calls so after the number of days they tell you passes, you can show them what THEY said.

Nevermind. I sent them an email and they said they have reviewed my account and see it has been over 180 days and have released the funds. I have withdrew my money now. And it was 180 days from when you were limited not when you recieved the parting ways email.

So did you have to contact them after 180 days to get them to release the money?
Is this the new policy?

Default All money will be released after 180 days

Sometimes their system is a bit slow, if not 180 days, then 185 days, not to worry you will get every penny back. We had many money limited 70,000 - 80,000 all released fine, no matter of reason no right to hold your funds for longer then this, some account money released after 190 days, some 170 days.

Yeah thanks guys and to answer your questions yes I sent them a message saying it has been over 180 days since I was limited. This is what they replied.

Dear ****** ****,

Thank you for contacting PayPal to the status of the limitation on your
PayPal account.

I have carefully checked your PayPal account and can see that it has now
been over 180 days since your account got limited. I have already
created a request to our relevant department in relation to the funds
that are still on your PayPal account. Kindly wait for an update from
them on how you can withdraw these funds out from your PayPal account.

Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Yours sincerely,
Joane
PayPal

And Shortly after I got this:

Dear ****** ****,

Your PayPal funds are now eligible for withdrawal.

To withdraw funds from your account, please log in to PayPal.
As a reminder, access to your account will remain limited.

While access to your account is limited, you may:
* place logos into your auction listings or on your website
* update your account information
* withdraw funds from your account

You may not:
* send or request money
* receive payments
* add funds to your account
* close your account

Thank you for using PayPal.

Yours sincerely,
The PayPal Team
