| GreenBean | 07-17-2008 06:35 AM | Not wishing to burst bubbles but ebay has been known to knock the second offers where there is a paypal limitation. Depends on many factors but does happen;) |
| divine422 | 07-17-2008 06:40 AM | Well i guess its really the luck of the draw then. Different strokes for different folks. |
| toonboimagik | 07-17-2008 09:22 AM | Need help, $700 at stake. Paypal is limited. I have a paypal limited with $700 in it and it requires that I confirm location. NOw my credit card that is currently in paypal requires that confirm address by calling the number linked to it, which is my cell phone. However it won't call it because its not a land line.... I need help...
My idea is this: Lets say I could get another credit card with a landline attached to it and have paypal call that number. Would that work? Or does it need to confirm the current card in it? It still gives me the option to add credit cards. I don't see why it wouldn't... Any help is apreciated... |
| divine422 | 07-17-2008 09:56 AM | You need to confirm that card. I suggest you use a phone forwarding service. Check out the Phone verification section in the forum. |
| mycrowman | 07-17-2008 01:27 PM | You guys seems to no get the problem just like paypal, I don't have any disputes to add tracking for! Its not a problem of me not having the tracking information, I buy it from the click n ship right after the person pays my pp account. |
| jerkyboy1 | 07-17-2008 03:42 PM | Whenever you get a limitation including the "they want to terminate business with you" limitation you can still receive funds for a 30-day period from the day you were limited, but why accept payment if you know they are going to get stuck for a long period of time and there is a chance the buyers will file charge backs and get their money back with the money sitting there. |
| jerkyboy1 | 07-17-2008 06:29 PM | look, we have all given you answers, if you don't want to call paypal and wait then that is your own problem and you're only hurting yourself. Please don't post any more questions for your original question has been answered. Contact paypal, simple. |
| jerkyboy1 | 07-17-2008 06:32 PM | To confirm location you put in a landline phone # in the area code of the address you have on file with paypal and it will work using forwarding service. As far as cc is concerned it doesn't and has not ever needed to be confirmed by phone only by expanded use #. |
| mycrowman | 07-17-2008 06:32 PM | Okay, I won't post any more questions just for you. This topic has never been brought up before. Also i called them and they are giving me the running telling me they can't talk to me for security reasons, since I signed up for this account with an Initial for my first name instead of full first name. Now I have to go through with the name change, just so they can even talk to me about the problem.
They were so rude on the phone, she just keep repeating security reasons. |
| sandiepiggott | 07-21-2008 01:04 PM | payPal limited need help please Hi i know i look new but i have been reading a lot of this forum and thanks guys its been a big help so far.
I have had my paypal account limited for over a week. This is a real account and they have asked for many things to prove it me which i have done all o.k. Now to-day i tried to withdraw and guess what limited again. They now want proff of invoice proff of supplier and tracking numbers. I have sent all the tracking and phoned to complain that these are already in the paypal system.
They still want suppliers details and proof of invoice.
How do i do this when i have sent the goods and i do buy from a large website in china that accept paypal but don't want them to get into trouble.
Help please |
| digzober | 07-22-2008 12:29 PM | Salamat from USA,
Seems like they might have tracked you down somehow. Etrade is very anal about address verification and changes, trust me, I have an account with 2k in it, they will not let me touch it because me and my partner had two different addresses.
Now I recommend having someone in the USA get you a P.O Box somewhere, and connect a bank account to it. You can even do it yourself using WAMU. From their, re-attempt to register, and I believe you should be fine. Make sure you have some sort of an IP blocker, you will show up in Bahrain my friend.

| Schniggy2 | 07-30-2008 07:13 AM | Get on the phone to them !
I have had loads of problems with paypal and the only way I have been able to sort anything has been over the phone. KEEP ON telling them that there are no disputes etc, tell them you WILL NOT stop until you talk to a supervisor or your problem gets sorted. It has always worked for me most problems have been sorted out there and then on the phone :)
If the fact that you signed up with only an initial is a problem then when you call tell them your name is "P Smith" as an example, if they ask you "why only an initial ?" Tell them a load of rubbish, ie your mum and dad are dyslexic and didn't want to have problems spelling the name they really liked "Pedro" so they decided to just name you "P" :p
If our account means that much to you then you will deal with the phone call ;) If you can't deal with the phone call then I guess you should open a new account, it WILL be the quicker solution :p |
| mycrowman | 07-30-2008 10:16 PM | They want me to go through changing the name from B to the full name. She said she couldn't talk to me on the phone anymore because there is no way to confirm that I am a the B, in question. |
| jerkyboy1 | 07-30-2008 11:01 PM | you newbs needs to get your stuff lined up for you will not have these problems in the first place. |
| djmuggs | 08-01-2008 01:31 AM | Got a payment for 700$ and it got held by paypal? I dont understand, I used 2 accounts to get 1700$ from a buyer for a wow character i sold. he sent me 1000 on my 4 year old verified paypal account, then 700 on my newer verified account. the 1000 is fine, but the 700 just got held because they have to investigate it? what the heck... |
| GreenBean | 08-01-2008 01:42 AM | What do you not understand? That paypal is investigating a transaction or that paypal picked on you?
Have you not read anywhere here on the forum that paypal has been putting funds on hold for 21 days or making investigations on transactions. There is no rhyme or reason to the way paypal works.:p
Despite your hope that paypal may not look into your transactions because your account is verified, you may be subjected to their limitations. That is a fact of life with paypal. |
| Ballsack | 08-01-2008 03:05 AM | Is this in fact a 21 day hold? |
| djmuggs | 08-01-2008 09:21 AM | i dont know if it is, but they just held the other 2 payments of 500 now... just great... |
| philly387 | 08-01-2008 09:46 AM | The 21 day payment hold happens automatically when the buyer pays. The "Investigate Payment" thing they do is just to "Investigate". But if you call them and talk to them about it you can get it released. |
| djmuggs | 08-01-2008 09:51 AM | so after 21 days most likely the payments will be released back into my account ? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:47 AM. | |
