Does the 180 day cash out rule also apply to accounts that were limited due to a linked negative account?

yes they will, the whole point of them holding your money for 180 days is to have a reserve against any complaints or refunds are requested from your buyers, trust me paypal held $6000 from me for 6 months, thats six grand for six months without interest.

But in the end i got it all, i called them when my time was up, they didnt send me a check though, they told me to log into my account and transfer the money out.

Look at it like your money being in prison for 6 months.

Well I received an email in french from them 6 months ago..

So much for the 180 days. They deducted my account in part of a negative linked account.

Here is where I get confused. Isnt it a federal law that paypal turns these funds over to the states after a period of time? Why hasnt anyone gone after paypal for not turning these funds over to the state treasury department where they can properly be claimed by the account owners.

The law is "The National Unclaimed Property Law"

This is my message to paypal, my english is bad.. but i satisfied because can say they deserve it.

i have 2 account at paypal that were limited 190 - 193 days ago and paypal did not give me the option to withdraw my money yet.

I am going to call them tomorrow and if they try to scam and run away with my money, i am going to sue them in my countries' court. Has anyone ever had this experience?

In my opinion, paypal has no right to keep my money forever. At the end, i have delivered stuff to the customers and money has to be released.

I will liek to hear your voice on this matter.

what if you do not get an email saying anything about 180 days./ will you not be able to get it after 180 days or do you have to wiat longer?

Call and tell PP you do not want to provide them your info. Then ask when you will get your money, most likely the rep will start your 180 days.

Will they sned it to your bank account you provided or do they have to send a check to the adress you gave them? I mean 6 months is a long time people move and stuff like that.

The 180 day wait is killer...disputes ALWAYS seem to happen.

I don't know if this applies to all...

but for one of my past paypal accounts that got limited, I was informed that even though it says 180 days, if there are no disputes on my account, that I could call back within 90 days and have it released. There is also a stipulation that there has to be less than 1000 in the account. I am not sure of the exact number, but it worked for me. I called back in 90 days and it was released so I could withdraw.


I now have another question. My account (pp) got limited, yet there is no mentioning of the 180 days or that it is closed. It just says I can't appeal the limitation.

So what are my options? I am planning on calling again tonight and see if I can sweet talk someone.

thats gay and makes no sense on why paypal would do that. its BS to me anyways

This problem that the sellers are having except the powerseller, aparently those suspensions of 180 days are been applyed to accions buy with our money,I recommend if you are using peipal to sell our products, start moving your money earned to your banck account., leaving only no more than $100.00 or $150.00 and only give your account no. to peipal, Dont send photocopies of your personal documents, remenber of identy theft, nobody knows for real those thieves hiding behind the name of peipal.

This is the first time I experience a permanently limited by PayPal after I just got suspend from eBay.

If my account will release after 180 days and my credit card link with paypal are expired, what should I do? I used vcc and it'll expire on July.
