Well it sounds like you were willing to take the risk and were confident about your choice... so why the need for advice for tax purposes?

i had 23K locked with paypal before, and the funny thing back then I was 100% legal
had my company selling 100% legal items, no copyright violations or anything (i was selling poker chips cases at that time)
they just said i was selling too much LOL, had 0 -ve feedback, 0 paypal complaints
and after i gave them my social and provided them with my DNA sample LOL, the paypal employee was screaming at me and said we dont want you to do business with us anymore

$23,000.00 is alot of money, theyr'e lucky they gave it back to you, because if they didn't you could have took them to court and got more money =D
i bet they made a ridiculous amount of money by investing your $23,000.00 while they kept for account frozen.

Is it possible for the 180 distribution to be done via an instant transfer to your bank on file with paypal?

When we want an instant transfer done to an account other than the paypal name - do we have to set it up before the 180 period expires, or does it not matter when as long as we verify it with the 2 small amounts?

hi moh96, so you got the money back before 180 days after calling them? or after 180 days as the normal?

probably cost that much in phone calls just to get your money back, or is paypals number free?

Paypal and ebay gave me two wonderful Independence day gifts today,
Two of my ebay and linked paypal account get suspended on the same day today, damn it.

As for ebay account, no problem, who cares,

But the paypal ask me supply the ssn and information for credit check
obviously, it's mission impossible because that person who registered the paypal account doesn't exist, so I guess I can't give them none of the information. Now please help me with following concern:

1. if I ignore their requirement to resolve the paypal problem, will my account suspension date be considered to start as today?

2. 180 days after today, will paypal refund me the money if I can't give them any real information?

3. Who has experience of ⊗⊗⊗⊗-informationed paypal getting suspension ? Did you get your money back after 180 days?

Call paypal and tell them I'm not going to provide my ssn# because of identituy fraud. See if they give you any other options. If they don't more likely within a couple days they will permanently ban you on paypal. The 180 would start the day you recieve the email from paypal telling you you are permanently banned. You will recieve your money in the registered bank account after the 180 days ends.

Thank you for your help, I just found out except the ssn issue, my paypal interface contains some other issue (or may I consider as other options?) to be resolved which I am not sure what to do:

credit check to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ guy, should I press "credit check" and let the check failed? or I just need to call them tell them I don't want to give them the ssn number?

anyway, I am just trying to find a way let them permanently ban my account as soon as possible.

If you want to keep the paypal account consider the other options. If you don't want to keep it and want to move on go ahead call them and tell them ''I do not wish to provide you with my ssn.'' Then they will permanently ban you very quick. If you want to sell alot and are still using paypal then your in a dead end. Go get a ccnow account its a merchant account that let's you accept paypal and all other major cc. Its a easy signup process and no FREEZING like paypal.

Yeah, you can withdraw the money just fine after 180 days.

BTW--since acct is Limited--they will NOT let you close it either.. BUT--they of course offer to add your ssn for "your convenience" :)

I was also wondering whether they lock your account after 180 days and the money is withdrawn. I never logged on too a limited account after i got my cheque but i did with one of my accounts and it gave me an message to contact the appeals department, couldnt even log on. I also need to give them a call because i had my cheque withdrawal confirmation from June 30th and it still hasn't arrived as yet!

How long does paypal keep the money for ?
 

Hi i have one paypal account and it was limited in jan this year. I got a email from paypal saying that they will hold my money for 6 months and that it would be ready for release on 21st july which is today. I still cant withdraw and i checked my email inbox for this account and see a couple more emails from them saying that my appeal was denied last month and that my money in my account will be held for 180 days. 180 days have passed since i got limited can they hold it for another 180 days ? I phoned them up and thats what they are trying to do .Any advice anyone please and if anyone has a paypal phone number of someone higher than ther agents as they really dont have 2 brain cells to rub together .
