Default Paying ebay fees once an account is limited

Had a read thru the Stealth Book - interesting read.

My account has been limited. In the meantime my ebay fees which would normally come straight from paypal are due.

If I ring up paypal will they let the fees be paid to ebay?

Also once these ebay fees are paid will ebay shut my account as my paypal has been limited.

If this is the case then I don't really see any point in me paying the due ebay fees if they are goin to shut this account.

Also essentially this account will no be dead as I won't be able to hook up a new paypal account to it will I without that also being limited?

This has happened to me. Your pp is limited right? 180 days? If so, they will NOT allow you to pay eb ay - this has caused problems for me before.

Use a gift credit card to pay the fees - if you care.

Yeah, they do not let you pay using a limited PayPal. Add a CC, VCC or gift card etc and pay that way.

Yeah thanks for that.

But ultimately what is the point of paying the fees?

This account is now essentially dead - I can't add another paypal to it without it being flagged yeah?

ebay opened my account yesterday. I paid them fees not due them via a money order. Within a day of receiving it, they re-activated my account despite the Ebay rep saying it takes a week to 10 days

They can ruin your credit if you do not pay them. If it is linked to your real information.

If you don't pay the fees then if they manage to link one of your future accounts then they will try and make you pay for them anyway.

Hey, eBay Stealth is to be used to help victims, okay... not to be abused.

Don't go around posting this kind of BS anymore, Davepeters...

No intention here to cause trouble mate, I thought it was a fair question.

From what I have read on this forum it apears paypal try and get as much info from you as possible when they have no intention of letting you back on.

It makes sense that ebay would want to do the same - recoup any fees owed before they shut your account due to the fact that your paypal was limited.

If my train of thought is incorrect please say so - I am here to learn and get back on ebay this is why I purchased the Stealth Book.

The main point is this - you pay eb ay if 1) you want to be done with it or 2) you want account to still be kicking but find other way than pa yp al for payment. Account is in f*ke info so they logically can't track you down.

That's the choice - all the best.

Move on from this account if you cannot get it reinstated and the PayPal account is gone.

Paying the fees is up to you. Your scenarios have been explained by the guys above me.

maybe your eb account wont get shut down

can you offer a pp alternative down under for recieving payments?,

you have to accept pp here in the uk,so if our pp goes down, all is lost and you make a newm pp/eb account

if your eb account is in good standing it may be ok

if the fees are like $200 and the account has like 7 feedback or something, forget and move on,make more stealth accounts

but if its a good account with loads of feedback and the fees are not too much, pay them and hope for the best

weigh it up
