PAYPAL HAS JUST LIMITED MY ACCOUNT WIHT OVER 500 DOLLARS IN EACH ACCOUNT. hERES THE PAYPAL MESSAGE I RECEIVED WHEN I LOGGED IN.

We recently noticed an issue with your account. To see what you can and can't do while your account is limited, go to the Resolution Center.

Why is my account access limited?

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

Dec 16, 2011: It's been a little while since you used your account. So, we just want to make sure that you authorized some recent transactions.

(Your case ID for this reason is PP-001-.)

When I go to the resolution center, there is NO steps to unlimt the account. this is all it says.

" YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT IS LIMITED" WHY?

when i click Why this is all tha tcome sup Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

Dec 16, 2011: It's been a little while since you used your account. So, we just want to make sure that you authorized some recent transactions.

(Your case ID for this reason is PP-001-.) No steps no nothing

IF YOU STOP SHOUTING YOU MIGHT GET REPLIES

paypal always has reasons. The problem is we dont always understand them

Actually, the answer is in your post.

The account had no activity for a while. Then a considerable amount of monies went thro' so paypal are protecting you as the account holder.

It's a standard practice where there is a (remote) possibility of an account being hacked.

I got that message before on an account that was 4 days old, they just use what I like to call "excuses" because they dont want to tell you the real reason.

No step means permanent limitation..a Phone call should solve everything, if your not permanently limited.

Yeah, and they're pretty sure about their limitations too. So if you do get limited, don't even waste your time trying to get the account back, just make a new account and keep the money rolling in.

Be careful with the phone calls, the last time I called about something simple they started asking of questions that did not have anything to do with the limitation.

Be prepared for everything.

Some might have the luck by just answering a question or two but for me I seem to get the kitchen sink for some reason. I very seldom get limited but when I do I like to know if the account is good or not and call instead of wasting my time with the back and forth question and answer session pp has come to start doing.

Answer one question and resolve and then get 3 more questions etc.

pp never seems to have a reason. And they seem to be taking out anyone who does extremely well and dips into a big sellers business.

After calling them today and catching them in a lie I can honestly tell you pp never needs or has a reason.

I think they just toss darts at a name.

PP always have a good reason, and i guess the thread starter got this limitation for 1 of 3 reasons:
1- not valid address or name
2- not valid phone number
3- bad range of EP cards or Meta bank ....etc

Ok, in USA there is Google Voice avaiable but what about stealth accounts in other countries?

I see no easy solution on this. It´s difficult.

That will certainly do it.

People, you have to have a phone on you for accounts that you are doing well.
I know we cannot carry tons of phones but for me I use VM and google voice on several phones and when I leave to run an errand etc I toss those phones into a small backpack just in case they ring. I keep all my accounts info on folders and toss them into the bag as well.

Especially on accounts I have items up and running on and if something sells or sold in the higher dollar amount. Also, when I do a transfer or withdraw I always have that phone with me.

I do not do this for every single account but those that are selling tons of items, higher dollar, recent withdraw etc I have a phone with me most of the time.

Some here do not have phones attached to their pp's, I have a few of those myself but they are not selling large numbers of items (yet) and not moving much money so I do not worry about those accounts.

phone numbers are key but having multiple phones is just ridiculous and unnecessary.
