Hello
I am trying to sell on Ebay once again, and have paypal for a funding source. I originally had an account in 05 for both ebay and paypal. It was a legit account in my name. I done awesome and then in the summer of 2007, my son was in a wreck that cost him his life. I was at the hospital for 2 weeks prior to his passing and in the meantime, my account suffered. I was limited and then suspended from paypal and ebay followed. I cleared up the money owed as refunds, and fees for ebay. They would not let me back on though to sell. The said I was high risk.
In 2009 I set up another account in a friends name for both EB and PP. That lasted a short time as the bank account did not have there name on it. It was my account. A different account then 2005/2007 though. This account lasted 2 months.
In 2010, my grandmother let me set up an account and use her PC and bank account. This account lasted until she passed away and the bank had to close her account as the estate was being settled.
In 2011, I set another account up in one of my kids names and it was shut down quickly. Dont know how this was linked or reason. PP said high risk.
Now I have another account with EB and it is set up in my new married name. New address and IP address as well as new bank info. Paypal is also in my new name, however they are requesting ID, SS#, and utility bill. I can not give my social as it will link me. Right now they have me as limited but the only thing I can not do is add money from my bank to the PP account. This has almost been 3 weeks.
I did not list with ebay until this past weekend. I have had one transaction with paypal, but as a new account there is a hold on funds until the buyer receives their package. I worry though that by the time these funds are available PP will close me down.
When I signed up on EB I called them and got my selling limit increased as I do have a lot of items to sell if I am able to keep my accounts. They did increase as they had questions to answer to verify my identity. Now they know who I am, I do worry that they will link my old account that was in my name. This was almost 3 weeks ago and I have not heard anything more from PP or EB.
I wish I had done things differently, however a little late now. I did not know about this forum, until 3 weeks ago, when PP emailed me requesting info. I did searches on PC to see if others were having the same issues and I was able to find this wonderful site.
I am going to be going stealth as soon as I have funds cleared to purchase.

Sorry for your losses, however you need to stop what you're doing. Buy the stealth guide, read the forums, ask questions then proceed. Reading this, you're doing it wrong.
For one, starting now, I highly advise to STOP using friends or relatives name for ur personal use even with their permission. As well as involve them in your business.
You got passed the phone call? and they didnt limit you? Sounds weird, I wouldn't sleep well at night knowing I have money in that account.
One thing I always say, ebay/paypal are not your friends, we are.

I agree. It is not a good thing to use friends and relatives info when there are so many ways around it.

Expect a lot of frustration at first. You're going to lose accounts, lose a little money and get a lot of headaches. But stick with it, because once you figure it out, Stealth will be the best thing that ever happened to your ebay business.

They always strike at worse times. Day after my stroke my first paypal was limited by time left hospital in two months all my accounts were limited.
Until found this site new accounts would last few weeks max. Since found this place only one been limited it nothing would of stopped that as it made too much too soon.
I was shocked how long it lasted though.

I am still up and running with the account. Paypal keeps sending me a reminder requesting the info they wanted when I had orginally opened the account ( ID, SS#, utility bill) Still says on paypal account that I can do all services except customer initiated request such as adding money to my account from my bank. Been 21 days since started both accounts.
The only thing I can think of that ebay has not suspended me is new last name as married, new bank, new address, new phone number and new IP address.
I know it was not wise to use family members names, they agreed for me to do so. If I had knew about this site prior to that I would of not used family members names.
I am going to get the stealth guide very soon. I am afraid every day that i am going to login to EB and PP and find that my time is up with the account I am using.
I do have one question though. I When I unplug my modem, my IP address changes. It only changes the last 2 or 3 numbers. Is that enough of an IP change or would it link accounts. When I start stealth I know I have to have different IP's but is those last number change enough to keep my going with new stealth accounts.
Does the stealth guide direct me on how to open bank accounts with stealth accounts.
Thanks in advance
Awesome site

Any change even one digit is ok.
Use different user accounts.
Keep track of your ips and what accounts you use them on etc.
Get the book, it will help guide you and then you can ask more questions and get a better understanding.
Good luck!

Your fear should inspire you to make stealth accounts fairly quickly and SPREAD sales.
2. You should ALWAYS open bank accounts in your own name with ID...the guide does not tell you how to make stealth BANK accounts because that is illegal You can speak to seller on the forum and look for virtual bank accounts to verify your new paypals...if you dont wish to open a real bank account.
The guide will help

Wanted to update. It has now been 46 days since the original request for paypal for ID, SS, and utility bill to prove my identity. I received emails each 10 days after the first request. The 3rd request said final notice for requesting my information.
I still am only I will call it slightly limited to do everything a normal account holder can do except adding money from my bank to my paypal account. I don't know how much longer they will wait for my info before limiting the account with full limitation.
I will be getting stealth this week, so I can get started on making new accounts and be ready when this one goes down.
Can you explain what a virtual bank is?
Thanks

It's easy to cruise along thinking paypal are nice. They are not.
paypal are losing patience with you. You have had long enough to deal with them. Expect to be fully blocked.
Past time to make stealth accounts too. You may find yourself with nothing. Get a plan going quickly. |

Thanks | A virtual bank account is a bank account that is created that only lasts temporarily - you can use this bank account to verify the paypal account. You cant use it to withdraw to.

Thanks | It is only a matter of time until is goes down. You have a limitation above just requesting a Tax ID. That they are asking for a ID and Utility bill seems odd to me. I have quite a few Stealth accounts they pester me for the tax idea nearly the entire year. If you haven't sold anything in a while I would consider with-drawling most of the funds. Because if it comes to a full limitation they will lock them up for 180 days.
It does depend though I was limited on a stealth last Dec for getting to close to the 20k limits without providing the Tax ID. My account was limited for receiving payments and I believe closing the account. I got lucky and it was reinstated earlier in the year. So it is a crap shoot. You just want to make sure if you can that you don't have a large sum of money tied up in PayPal for 180 days if they do a full limitation.

I learned this this the hard way when my original paypal account was taken down 6+ years ago. At the time interest rates weren't zero. So I would leave money in my account and was signed up for the money market because it was a fairly decent return. We'll boom got limited, 180+ days to get back 15k. Lesson learned.
