Default Question about Paypal permanent limitation

Hi, I just got something like this from Paypal:

"Why is my account access limited?

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

May 29, 2013 : We need some more information about some of your recent sales.

This limitation cannot be appealed."

Okay I know it's permanent limited , but they didn't say when I can withdraw my money. Any suggest ???? Is that normal ? I just dont give them SSN then they just locked the PP.

My friend said after 45 or 90 days then I can withdraw money. Will they sent any email ?

To let you know that until then you cannot use the PayPal. Maybe worth trying to withdraw money now if no date for withdrawal is given.

180 days if you do nothing.

If you cant do anything on the account and no steps to follow...you will have to ring them up and try...or just wait

Really? Withdraw on a limited account where the statement is this limitation can not be appealed?

Limitation usually means any funds within will be kept for 180 days - you cant really do anything with a limited PP account past 21 days (within that time, money coming in will still be accepted)

Well, so I have to wait for 180 days. There is no exception, isn't it ? I want to get my money asap. They damn hold my money because I have too much . I really hate their stupid policy while they are just the third party in the whole transaction.

Some, although very few, people have been successful at being able to get the money before 180 days by calling PayPal with a sob story. You can TRY it, but don't hold your breath.

If you were limited because you wouldn't give your SSN, then MAYBE they will release the money. If your limitation started with them being suspicious of the authenticity of your merchandise, or they suspect any type of fraud, then forget it.

When you joined paypal you agreed to their terms.

This is how they work.

Any payment processor is the same. They make the rules.

You got asked to supply an SSN or you got asked to supply ID? What was the reason?

Your info is vague.

They asked my to confirm identification. I gave them ID, utility bill and bank statement, and I called them to ask if I dont give them the my SSN (basically I dont have it). Then the following day, my PP was gone. I decided to call them to ask the reason. They said because of the security reason, we have to limit your account. That's all I know.

Yep just a generic response to everything : security reasons, possible threat , on and on, no answers

No real exception - you either ring em and handle all their documentation concerns and GET CLEARED (which may or may not happen - their choice) or you wait for 180 days...done
