Damn Three dongle was not changing IP even after removing and reinserting, it needed 20 Mins to change! .... we are now sorted after losing 5 accounts...

I don't see any harm in removing the ISA and adding the savers, also maybe just keep the ISA attached, dunno.

As you said would be shame to waste an account. The account that I added a savers to recently was a couple of years old, no apparent selling limits - great

I am new to this and have had my vcc and vba ppal and ebay accounts closed so as uk based I am setting up a new back acc, i have a new phone, a vpn and will have a computer dedeicated to the gmail acc, ppal and ebay only.
* What I am wondering is using my own name only with s spelling mistake and using 32B instead of just 32 - is this enough to be classed as a different address or is it like credit card machines that only ask for the numbers?

Welcome to the forums claudy.

Why using vpn? Dont - go for dongle or smartphone tethering. If you use a mistaken-spelling of your name, you would be wise to get a COMPLETELY new address - dont use the same one...a manual review can EASILY link you.

yes the b or c does work to register, and for a buying acc.

for selling bit risky as could fail a number of reviews.

Sorry about hijacking the thread but what's with the Barclays current account business?

Can this all by done legit without virtual cards and stuff?

I just started uni, so i have a new address where i have never used paypal as i've been banned over 1 yr.

If i use a new address, new bank account, new debit card, new IP, will i get caught?
So the only thing linking my account to my old one would be my name and i'm sure various people across the UK share my name.
I have no intention to link these with any ebay account as i don't use ebay.

Obviously, it goes without saying that i wouldn't link any of this info with my parent's home address where my past account got banned.

is there any way you can change your bank statement via your bank to your new address? if so, the debit card with it will pass AVS on this address. You are correct about the other stuff, it all needs to be new info. You can keep your name, it depends on what id you have submitted in the past.

Never submitted ID as i've never been a seller. My worry is they will link my name to my DOB. Can/do they do that?


Also, a bit odd is i still have a premier account that is not limited (it's inactive). It has all the same details and it got limited along with my main (personal) account. However, at some point since they have removed the limitation.
I haven't tried it out yet but i did try out checkout without an account and that didn't work as there was an "issue" with my card according to paypal (clearly it's my address or something being linked to my old account).

yes they could link name to dob in theory.

someone else may confirm this but i do not think they ask for dob upon registration any more

you were never a seller? so how are you banned for a year??

They do ask for DOB, went to the sign up page and checked a few days ago.

Someone hacked my account and bought stuff, so i did a chargeback on the transactions. They then permanently limited my accoubt as it was high risk :S


Have people on this site ever been caught out through the DOB/Name link. I would rather it be legit as if they ask for ID at any point, that would screw it all up.

people never usually know exactly how they got linked, as they do not tell you details when suspending you, but I am sure there are people that suspect this may have happened to them.

You have a new address, if you want to remain as yourself, I think it is well worth trying.

maybe it is paypal that does not ask dob then....
