Help PAYPAL Passport expired

My Passport has expired and they want proof of name?

So the date shouldn't matter should it?

You have a choice of things to upload for proof of ID? Upload something else if you do that is current, because I don't think they will accept something that has an expired date on it, what would be the point of that!

if it is very recently expired, they might accept....or give them a DL

if you have another form of id submit that. there is usually a long list of acceptable forms of id.

this is probably terrible advice, but you can try to submit the passport and block out the expiration date and the passport number and say it is for security reasons.

Never black out info.

Makes paypal look EVEN closer at the paperwork.

They ask for the info to be resubmitted without the blacked out pieces.

If the passport has expired they won't accept. I'me sure there T&C are that the passport in question must be in date and valid.

Alternatives would be a Drivers license or birth certificate. Ring them up though

Agree with Greenbean never black out info especially expiry date on a passport one of the first things they look at!
