| | | | | aquabats | 03-16-2015 11:07 AM | paypal frozen my account with 1300 usd in it, i can't log in. Okay story starts here. I had a limited paypal with 1300 usd in it. Both ebay and paypal are stealth.. 1 month ago, i received an email saying i could withdraw the money.
So i signed in today and tried to add a new bank account and paypal didn't let me do it.
I called them and they said that my account was not limited permanetly so i had to send them my id and utility bill so they will either let me add a new bank account or reinstate my account.. I have sent them the documents they asked.. with the help of someone in this forum. :)
I have sent them documents and 20 minutes later my appeal is denied.. Now i cannot sign in to my account nor i can withdraw the money i receive the following error message when i try to sign in : '' we're sorry but we're having trouble logging you in. Please try again.''
I think they have frozen my account.. But what happens to the money? according to law in my country, they cannot hold the money forever or sieze it.
Should i call them back? please help, that bever happened before. Btw, appeal denial email is here:

Btw, I got 1300 usd in it.. Am i over reacting?? I am scared that they won't let me get my money after 180 days. |

I believe if you never send in DOCS and get denied your countdown never starts.
I really hope thats not the case because I think you may have to wait another 180 days. |
| aquabats | 03-16-2015 01:02 PM | Re: paypal frozen my account with 1300 usd in it, i can't log in. Thank you all for reply, i am okay to wait for another 180 days, what scares me is that they won't let me get my money after 180 days.
Maybe , it is just a technical issue just like you guys said but i am unable to log in my account for all day. It seems that they locked mu account as well..
For what purpose do you think?
What are my options??
Btw , the documents i have sent them were stealth as well, as you can imagine. |

If you are truly that scared you can't get your money, after the 180 days is up AGAIN and they make another excuse telling you that you'll have to wait yet ANOTHER 180 days and another and another....what then? You'll be OK with it? Sounds like something someone would do if they really were that worried about their money being tied up.... |

1- This paypal is stealth so no real name or address. The documents i have sent were also stealth.
Should i be persistant?? And maybe argue with them tomorrow? |
| wtfebay | 03-16-2015 10:15 PM | Re: paypal frozen my account with 1300 usd in it, i can't log in. Stealth or not doesn't make a difference. You're still allowing them to walk on you. |
| Bunneh | 03-16-2015 10:22 PM | Re: paypal frozen my account with 1300 usd in it, i can't log in. When your account is limited and you have to wait 180 days for the funds, then WAIT 180 days.
If you get the email from paypal that allows you to withdraw early, you should NOT call paypal if you have problems withdrawing early.
They will ask you for id to be able to withdraw and if that fails, your money is gone for good. No more 180 days or anything.
DONT CALL PAYPAL FOR ANYTHING.
It is best to wait out the time and not risk your money. |

I had an argument with the guy on the phone and he told me that we keep the documents you sent FOREVER. I told him, he has not right to do so, the guy told me '' we are a bank , we can take any security measures''.
As i know paypal is not a bank and cannot act like one. |

Never tell paypal what they can not do. They do not care.

As i know paypal is not a bank and cannot act like one. | That doesn't make sense, why would they lock you out of your account for the 180 days?
Sounds like your money is gone as your account has been shut down.
Not saying this happened to you but, When you have claims and do not pay paypal back for a few months the same thing happens, they close your account and you can no longer log in and it is passed over to a debt collector.
So your account does sound completely closed to me. |

IF their intention was not to give my money, they would tell this in the email and on the phone, am i right?
Me too, i believe that they just locked the account and they will open it once 180 days passed.
What is your opinion? |

What is your opinion? | Everyone else whom has the 180 day hold can still log into there paypal account and see the 'appeal denied' notice and all the funds held in a paypal account. The fact that you cannot log in AT ALL says your account is GONE.
Since when do you believe anything paypal ever tell you?? |
