Can not withdraw because Verify Account by Phone
 

Hi all,

I have a stealth US PayPal account has been limited 180days. after 180days, they allowed me to withdraw money. I've added a Chase bank account to withdraw money. However, when I withdraw PayPal money, paypal request to verify my account by phone. My old phone no longer active.

I tried to add some new phone via google voice, text plus, Pinger ... but they all do not work. "this number does not appear to be registered in your name paypal". I tried to ask help from PayPal by E-mail and calls. But they replied "my account without any problems, and I can withdraw money anytime I want" they asked me to try again with different browsers.

Please give me a solution. I was feeling extremely nervous, I've been waiting 180 days to withdraw their money. And it's really difficult period.

I hope to find a solution to my problem.

I do not have any choice but to add a new phone number. Please help me, I can use Trackfone to add it and verify? Thanks

Sadly, there are many posts already on the fourm about this issue.

If the phone number is not from the orginal account, this is why you have troubles.

There is no solution that we know of except for trying to call in to resolve the issue.

I think so. Maybe ask them to initiate the bank transfer on their end since you are unable to make it happen on your end.

Perhaps PP is having a difficult time comprehending what you are trying to relay to them. Are you US? Do they sound US? (usually not)

You need to email or call them and ask for them to withdraw the money since you are having technical issues. They can do that and I have done it.

Hi, I have $ 4,000 in my account. and I will withdraw the money on a bank account with mismatched name. if I ask them to withdraw full money to my bank account. bank hold it or not?

What bank is it? Have you withdrawn to this bank before? If yes, then there will be absolutely no problem. You can always add new bank account that supports mismatched names or request a cheque to any address (but that needs more tweaking)

Hi, My bank: CHASE and I never withdraw money from my bank account. Can I request a Check and withdraw it with a name mismatch?

I am not sure if Chase is good for mismatched names but you can withdraw as cheque and cash it out with mismatched name through either the bank that supports mismatched names (not sure if CHASE is one of them) or Western Union might do.

Hi, That means that I can request a Check with mismatch name and withdraw it at the Western Union. I do not have any experience in this, they will not be required to show ID when I ask to withdraw Check?

I have seen this happen before your only chance to get the money is to send it to your bank! But the fact it when you call in They are going to ask you for the last four digits of your social! Is Account made underneath a variation of your real name or a complete fictitious ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name or someone you know?

Thats why its extremely important to keep the original number active that was used to make the account. Best bet now is convincing paypal to do the bank transfer by calling

Hi, I never thought about going confirm my account by phone number, so I do not keep it active. I was limited to 6 months, so I deleted the old phone number and add a new number in the profile. It seems like the new number is not acceptable.

Use the PayPal app to withdraw. I have managed to bypass the Verification process many times via this method.

Well I use the PayPal App on Android but essentially they are the same thing. Let us know how you get on.

@danielrutherford, the pp and eb apps are dangerous to work with - so many posts about recommending to not use them

Yes I agree under normal circumstances the app shouldn't be used but in the OP's case the account is already dead in the water.

When you call, you gotta tell them that you switch the phone number and you need to escalate this to a supervisor that can help, if they cannot provide the ability to help you. A supervisor or manager should be able to link a bank account for you manually. Then, just make the withdrawal, the entire amount in one shot since your account has surpassed the 180 day hold.

I've successfully added your bank account to PayPal, but when I withdraw money, PayPal asked me to verify the phone number.

We have tried to say you need to get paypal to do this manually.

You appear to be back to square one.

I ran into this problem and luckily was able to reactivate the old number. OP are you able to?

I bought a real mobile number from a seller and it verified my PP account. I had added only home number before this was first mobile number added to the account and it worked.

Windboy, Its best to note that the other member is from another country and different rules apply.
