I hate paypal!!! Account closed as was 17 when opened
Hello,
I was using an account of my brothers girlfriends, which paypal has now permanently limited. They said the reason is because when she opened a PayPal account she was only 17. Even though she never used the account and I only began using it a few months ago - She is nearly 19 now.
I am furious, why wait until now to limit the account? Also are they allowed to keep the funds, as they completely avoided this topic when I received a reply. There saying the account will not be re-instated but she can open a new account with a new email address. All seems really strange and a way of PayPal being able to keep the money.
Does anybody know more about this? Are they allowed to keep the money?
Regards.
Aimee
Dear ,
We've reviewed the documents you submitted and determined that you were under 18 years old when you opened your PayPal account. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for a PayPal account. From now on, you can't send or receive money with this account.
If you've outstanding buyer complaints and you want to refund your customers, you can do so via the Resolution Centre in your PayPal account.
To continue using our service, please open a new PayPal account. You'll need to use a different email address.
If you want to use the same financial details on your new PayPal account, please remove them from the account.
