PayPal still not withdrawing my money
 

So I have £8K now in PayPal and its been 35 days after the limitation and still not withdrawing anything, sent about 10 emails and i've heard people being able to withdraw there money after 45 days? How? Do i threaten them with major complaints or something, take them to court, i understand why they would hold some money but £8,000 is just abusing their power.

45 days are the exceptions

Most the time it is 180 days you need to wait

Do you know if it's just for UK or for the rest or the world ?

In the US its fairly common to get it sooner than the 180 days from what I have been told / seen

In the UK its pretty rare to get it sooner than the 180 days

your paypal limitation ' depature email will tell you how long you need to wait.

But lately funds are not being released and when you contact paypal they request ID before releasing funds.

how is that possible for them to request ID if after 180 days? isn't that illegal since in their user agreement ..it clearly states funds will be held for 180 days

What they state in their email isnt considered the user agreement.

And yes they do ask for id docs if you contact them. Ive even had it happen over a stupid £200 amount...

Paypal policies can be called "grey" at best - they sometimes flout them.

I also spent months on end emailing paypal for a release of the funds of my account and had to wait 180 days like other have said.

In a similar position - got burned today on my account, have just over £1k in there that funnily enough was pending due for release this evening. Got the limitation email earlier today and low and behold the withdrawal was pulled.

I called them and spoke away friendly to the advisor, plead my case etc and she took sympathy and has put through an appeal on my behalf asking the team to review the limitation. Normally on previous account busts, ive held no hope and they normally turn out to be rejected (the appeals) this time however, I am somewhat hopeful. If not, I no doubt will be subjected to the 180 days wait for my cash.

has anyone passed with sending an ID for stealth account? i have a substantial amount in a few paypal accounts..i don't see how it's legal for them to just deny you getting your money after 180 days

mine are well over the 180 day mark

If your over the mark, you can call them have your account funds released you don't have to be scared or threatening. I talk them just fine, Even if you were up to something no good or it's just a stealth account. It's none of the rep's business if the account is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ the money is legally "The Account Holder's" which is you my friend, tell them what you waited your time and you are calling for the release and bring up the 180 portion of there policy if need be. Please note they can hold it for a maximum of 180 days but in 45 days of no problems and with a call to there support you can have them release it just fine. I just recommend you don't hide behind email because they really don't have to respond and its not a priority to the rep who can help you, but when speaking to that rep over the phone it's a different story.

then why are people saying "paypal requests id after 180 days"
kind of confused on that part and see what feedback is before proceeding

If you call paypal after the 180 days they will ask you to resend the id to enable you to withdraw it.
They dont care whose money it is, they can and do refuse to release it.
So just wait patiently for the withdrawal email.

45 days. I have 9 accounts with that limitation now. if it goes past 45 then unfortunately you will be waiting until July

not sure if you read..but i'm way past the 180 days..i just didn't realize how much i had in those accounts,i tried calling earlier but was on hold for almost an hour and i couldn't wait..i'll call in tomorrow

my question is if they request an id to withdraw after 180 days for a stealth? that hasn't been answered..i've searched the forums..but have seen no concrete answer

Yes doesnt matter if your account is on real details or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ones. They will ask you for id.

Did you not get an automatic email to say you are now able to withdraw?

yes i have received the email..so my question is still how to pass the id? are they strict? i mean..i can send an ID on whatever account..but is it that easy or are they strict?

Well firstly if you have the email have you tried to withdraw?
You can only withdraw to a bank nothing else.

The only time you need to call paypal is of you have the email and then go to the resolution centre on paypal and there is still a CROSS against the word withdraw.
If there is a TICK then you can add a bank and withdraw?

They change the rules as they want.

They also say funds release is at their own whims...

Of course they do not use those exact words.

i get what y'all are saying..but no one answered my question regarding the ID,does it matter if it checks out or not? these are stealth accounts..someone has to have experience with this
