So there have been other people on here that sell "tv boxes with kodi" that got banned by paypal. Obviously this is a jailbroken item and jailbreaking is legal, but the legality of how the end user uses the item definitely is in question.I completely understand why paypal would not take payment for these items

I got banned selling this item( multiple times now), but there are several sellers that have been selling these items for 3 years with over 6000 to 8000 sales and they dont get banned even when they are reported. IT seems like paypal lets them slide because they have the most sales and they only ban sellers with less sales. The titles and descriptions of the listings are virtually the same, but paypal wont ban these sellers. The people do not want to pay with anything but paypal. I guess paypal loves to continue to make money off these sellers.

Here is a phone conversation I had today with paypal. the supervisor stated that " well perhaps they have legal permission to stream the media" when I was reading off the top seller listings that have 6000 to 8000 sales. I do not understand the double standard

Im not sure if I can be successful customers dont want to pay with a merchant account. Any ideas why they are not banning these sellers? I am assuming because they are making them too much money? Do you think its because they have been around for 3 or so years? Others continue to get banned.

Im not an angel selling these things, but it pays well. I have reported these listings to paypal, but Paypal does not do anything. Ideally I want an environment were paypal bans everyone or no one at all.

This whole thread really does sound like a case of sour grapes on your part.

That's never going to happen. Accept it and move on.

Assuming that video is actually you, then you've just posted an admission of yourself selling illegal items with some video evidence to back it up.

Reporting others because youre having issues? that's low. Noone will appreciate that. Not here of all places.
As for those other sellers - yes it is most likely because theyre using well aged accounts that have excellent selling history and service records associated with them. Get to that point with your accounts and youll enjoy the same privileges. Its just the way it works with ebay/paypal.

I am guilty of sour grapes and I dont ask for sympathy.
I had one account with tons of feedback near 100 percent and that got canned with over 1000 sales. Others have shared similar experiences on here.

I cannot compete if I dont take paypal. Tons of sellers have been affected( not just me), but as I said the top ones remain. This is probably as you guys said due to having an account for a long time.

Is the only way for success to have an aged account with tons of transactions and good feedback? I am thinking that an account has to have feedback in the thousands and been around for 5 plus years.

or maybe they do have permissions and manufacturers are not complaining about those sellers.

Impossible to know the ins and outs of other peoples business.

Sorry to hear about your issues OP. I had the same issue back in 2013 when I was selling Microsoft keys. I'd get my listings removed yet sellers with high rep were getting away with it. Not sure how it works but it wasn't fun. At this point you'd need to find something else to sell since you've been banned on numerous occasions. The them its a high risk item and the fact that people can watch movies still in theaters for free is something they won't allow. Reporting others wont solve it

They definitely are not authorized to "jailbreak" items. Manufacturers want you to stay within the lines of their software.

And reporting them wont do anything( I already did previously) and I will try again and will try to get my money that is locked up.

I have no sympathy for you for selling those items. I hate with a passion box sellers. They are screwing up the community and kodi.. and I hope you keep getting banned over and over again!

Its a box that has android as an OS which allows you to install KODI which is a program used to stream movies, tv shows and live tv for free. Its considered piracy by most. You can use fire stick's as well

I read off listings that were are not banned and wanted to get a clearer picture of what they do right that I did not. I never put " free everything", I marketed as you download free and paid apps from an app store

Sounds pretty good. I cut the cable cord few months back and been living with digital local, which is actually a lot better then would have thought, Hulu and Netflix...

Seems like we have plenty of things to watch... However the one major thing lacking is Sports. How good are these with NFL games?

@theDiesel keep trying and pugging away at it and you could be one of those high sellers. What makes them different, are they using a merchant account maybe? One that accepts PayPal also and are bypassing major reviews?

I WAS THE TOP SELLER THIS PAST WINTER! Half of the people do not want to pay with a merchant account and a lot of them cancel. The other sellers can still take paypal and paypal does not give a ****. Over fifty percent of the orders cancel and I went from selling 15 to 48 a day to only selling one to two and at much lower profit margins. These sellers advertise " free movies, ppv, etc" and paypal does nothign when reported.

it is unfair that other sellers get to do it, although they may not last anyway...
you must have known this could get stopped, anything copyrighted, treads on other peoples toes, so it depends on if and how they chose to report it...
and if that is you on youtube, there was no need to show your face....

I know and Im ticked because had I not been limited until June( first account was limited in march) I would have paid off student loan debt and been able to replace my whip. Nothing sells like this item: nothing. One of the top sellers this weekend sold 81 all in one day: 23 dollars profit per unit at 81 =1863 bucks in one day

They are very simple to setup. YouTube teaches you everything....... I bought a Matricom G-Box and it takes about 5-10 min to install the repos and then the adons... Make sure you get Exodus, that's by far the best adon, replaced Genesis

123 movies usually works better......however there reallly is no way to get consistent live tv in hd without paying for it...there are paid services for pretty cheap

I going give OP wisdom my stroke given me. Do not hold grudges. Forgive people no matter what do. Until you do you holding yourself back.

I never reported people to PayPal and never will. Doing so just guarantees you sabotage your future as karma will come back to you.

Not saying this easy this probably hardest step take each night but it is the most liberating. Frees your mind to focus on you. Just because you forgive does not mean God has to and his punishments are forever.

Personally I enjoy pain and enjoy it when other try give me some just makes my day so much better.

Well you can watch movies still in theaters so i'm saying yes, But that's a grey area. Its up to your judgement. I personally use one.

the free live tv apps suck...you have to pay for a decent tv service...they are around 7 to 8 bucks a month.

I have to disagree with you there. I got my "jailbroken" fire tv stick with Kodi installed about 2 months ago, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!

Of course it is piracy though. It's no different than downloading off TPB. Some of the Exodus sources just stream torrents.

We primarily use it for Exodus since most of the vids there have all the commercials removed. But we use the live TV apps also. We've watched a few different sporting events already, and they streamed flawlessly with only about a 5 second lag behind actual TV.

I had to jump in this thread when I realized y'all were talking about Kodi. Kodi is awesome. It's going to be a shame when they get shut down

Tv companies getting what deserve. In Europe can get tv, phone, and dsl for 10-20% what cost in USA.

They lie saying can not give a la cart programing but they did on big dishes in 80s and 90s. If rest did I could just get 5-10 chs want for $10-20 not hundreds. ESPN is $5-10 a month ok if watch it but they never have sport I like badminton. They do not allow as the good money would stop. History Ch has no history programing for past decade all relighity tv garbage.

Halmark has streaming service but can not watch bulk there programs on it. More will get into it as they see people getting fed up. The better names like Halmark might do better this way. Its one few must haves as they make great original movies.

no, not really, these services and Sky we pay a similar amount for, we certainly pay alot....here in UK

also Europe domestic SKY is expensive, similar to UK...although I had a lesser service on cable set up at my Euro holiday home years ago, and the installer immediately mentioned that he would set it up to give me free access, if I gave him some money, which of course I did.....that would not happen in UK hehe!!

If I am going to get punched, I am going to punch back harder. I cannot compete if pp permeates an environment where others are still allowed their payment services for selling the same item. Either allow people to sell it or dont allow them at all. Nothing like it sells as fast and at a decent profit margin. People will cancel orders if they cannot pay with paypal. And I am not stopping until they release most of my funds that they are using to invest in their company and make interest on the money I earned.

People are getting arrested selling these boxes now so its best to stay away from them. Even if you are not installing the apps to get the free channels they will still arrest you.

I would remove the video and this post if i was you and don't use the accounts that were used to sell these items.

Well these boxes are same as your mobile phone if you download kodi in your phone will this become illegal?
I don't think
Ebay is full with them selling with these apps are not legal but normal without apps should not be any issue
Maybe hard to sell as people just want plug and play

Although this is the case the Police still have raided many sellers of these boxes. I would stay away from them and just let people order them from China themselves.

Yeah paypal admitted all those listings that they dont touch are in violation of their aup.....they wont do anything because its all about the $$$$$$.............

YES! brand New sellers will be banned soon.

I had around 75 feedback on my first account when I started selling. Sold 660 before they banned me.

They know about them being sold, but they wont do anything unless someone else with power( amazon, legal authorities, etc) bark about it

Without paypal customers will cancel orders.
