Paypal limit emergency
 

I have sold some iphones and shipped a few out. However Paypal recently limited the stealth account I was using.

It is asking for a
photo ID
Proof of address
shipment info
Confirm available inventory

I can clear the last two line items but can not provide a photo ID and address. Is there a way around this. Has any members been successful in getting these limits removed?

Looks like its time to get 'creative'...
Get creative enough and it is possible to get past those limitations - although this wont be easy considering the items involved...

any tips will be helpful. I never called paypal before. I have a lot of money on hold and need this to clear.

Unless you can give them what they wanted one way or another, there's not much you can do.

Get creative I agree, as long as the items get delivered and no problems. Then it is much easier to get limitations lifted. Problem with Stealth accounts is most people try to sell to many items that are deemed high risk to quickly.

First off, thank you for the feedback. After the documents are submitted, do I call pp directly? If everything went through fine, would it clear up right away? If I do call PP, would I only need the information provided to me by my account purchased in the marketplace? I want to be sure that I have everything in order to answer all of the CS reps question before placing the call.

Its been many years since I had a similar situation 5-6 years. I would submit all the docs and wait for PayPal.

Most the people who answer phones at PayPal are schills and have no power. Unless someone can help get you in contact with what I think is still called an Account Executive, someone with real power they are worthless. I would wait it out and not rock the boat. If you are denied then I would call in and demand to speak to person who reviewed your account.

It depends which department has put the restriction. If it's the merchant risk / fraud prevention type department, they are not available on the phone. For the basic ID cheks holds, I just give them a call and they open it on the call

You got limited after first iphone sale? Or next ones?
Everything was ok when you sold your first iphone?

Selling iPhones as first items is an awful idea.....iPhones and other similar items should be sold when an account is matured.

No. I have sold a few items before the iphones. Got about 20 feedback before I started selling the iphones.

So i got creative and submitted the requested documents. It sent me to a prompt saying that they will get back to me in 2 business days. I really hope this works.

Mite wanta hold on to them docs after the 180 days is up they mite want to see them AGAIN!!

It does suck :( but pp is known to deny appeals for a ton of accounts selling electronics especially iphones

20 Feedback is nothing. You need to spend a long time building your account before you can start selling so many high risk items.

I would call an ask to speak to an account executive. See if you can find anyone with some actual weight at PayPal to help you out.

I many time write about stealth paypal, this not legal accounts because when u have limited paypal , they want check ,you real holder or not. Now only 1 chance make documents then u have chance restored account, and provide invoices, supplier contact info and ect where u buy iphones.

no after 3rd. Also i purchased directly from Apple. Got creative with the name and address on receipt.

Iphones on a new account is a big no no. It's possible to lift this limitation if you think a little out of the box.
