So whats the most logical way to countermeasure this? | If the transaction was fraudulent, or the buyer was a scammer who used methods I highlighted previously, PayPal has a duty to refund them unfortunately as they cannot prove beyond reasonable doubt that the transaction wasn't fraudulent.
If the buyer is trying to pull a fast one and hasn't gone to lengths to cover up what he's doing, then PayPal will see through it and throw the claim out citing there is no evidence that the transaction was indeed unauthorised. |
