masterman | 12-18-2016 04:19 PM | Paypal Now Can Recognize VPN Help please, happened to me right now, my account was first limited and sent invoice, ID, everything that they requested me and called by phone and my account was restored, after 3 days got limited again, as it was restored 3 days ago, I found this strange, called paypal again, and the representative was checking everything, told me to put VPN off and to try to login in paypal without VPN, I got Surprised when he told me that, I'm in Dominican Republic and using USA IP for USA paypal, had to do it, when logged in paypal, of course he found that I am in Dominican Republic, then told me if I want my acccount to be restored again, I must be within the states... What was up here?... how can this happened?... for sure they have a system that can detect that you are using VPN, some of you know a safer way to avoid this from Paypal please? |

He must have some sort of IP LEAK, if they found it out when his VPN was on.
Maybe he can view this post: http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-di...p-leakage.html
and then go to : www.ipleak.net and confirm is he can see the leak.
big companies like paypal can also buy others unknow bugs |
smartguy | 12-18-2016 04:31 PM | Re: Paypal Now Can Recognize VPN Also
1. you must to close your IPv6 connection when you use an IPv4 VPN .. otherwise you can leak, they can somehow make you connect to an IPv6 IP in the background and boom...they know who you are already.
2. your time zone.. your computer real clock , date and timezone can be read from your computer https://whoer.net
3. dns leak
4. plug-ins! you can be easy be traced like that...you downloand a tool like Smart PDF Creator and you have Office 10 installed on your computer. Both will be visible when you do a checkout. But this is not all, if you but an HP laptop for example and install some tools from the cd, those toos can also be saw. So , how many people have a HP with an i3, windows 7 , 32 bit version AOL, Smart PDF Creator and Office installed?! How came 50% of them created an paypal account just 1 week ago. Check ipleak.net to see the list of your visible plug ins. |

muzzie | 12-19-2016 07:03 AM | Re: Paypal Now Can Recognize VPN It is a piece of cake to detect if you are behind a VPN or not. Info about any IP is publicly available. So if you use services from some company you've found in the first 5 Google pages, it is probably already used and abused. |
Re: Paypal Now Can Recognize VPN If I am not mistaken, ebay and paypal are incompatible with IPv6 - so you end up connecting with them with an IPv4 address - so you shouldn't worry about all that. But certainly an interesting point you raise.
Set google as your DNS. https://developers.google.com/speed/...dns/docs/using
Right VPN - Those that aren't really popular, i.e. www.24vc.com Most important points if your using a VPN are:- When connected, check IP to ensure its your VPN IP
- Keep Flash Disabled
- Prevent WebRTC leak, or otherwise disable it alltogether.
Those are the most important points / ways that your real IP can be leaked. |

They just need to load a small image from am ipv6 and they found you.
It is enough to read their TOS . They write there some ways they do detect you. Including web beacons, screen size , windows type, plug ins and so on |
