Does EBay still have acces to your PayPal infor?
 

When they seperated to get the SEC off their back, did EBay give up access to PP accounts

eBay and PayPal are still very much still linked and share A LOT of information between each other.

Although eBay can't see what's internal to PayPal's databases, they still communicate significant details of the sale such as:

Account ID (of registered eBay)
Email address of eBay
Name/Address/Phone number
Item ID/Category/Item Class/Item Name
Transaction Amount
Item count
Account status (valid/suspended/etc)
Fund holding status

I'm sure PayPal also gets a bunch of other info related to both the sale/transaction; flags used for fraud detection that are specific to the ebay account and so forth.

Even though eBay and PayPal are technically separate entities, ALWAYS treat them as ONE company.

Yes since they work in tandem no doubt that they can access paypal, I definitley treat them as one entity.

Yes for sure. I got restricted on ebay with one account and within 1 hour paypal sent me a message saying, we're restricting your account.

This was within the last 2 months (i.e. around June 2017)

Why is it so hard to understand that Ebay and PayPal will ALWAYS communicate with each other? What part of that is hard to understand?

Actually ANY payment processor (not just paypal) shares lots of transaction data to each other. For example, the Authorize.net payment gateway and receives just as much info from eBay as does PayPal. Authorize.net in tern sends the sales, user, and financial data over to the Merchant Bank. This is typical setup with just about any online marketplace.

In the end, the Bank doing the payout to any seller wants to know a lot about that payment, what it's for, who initiated it, etc.

Hate is a pointless waste of energy.

Use it instead to create listings, sell stuff, and make money.

EB and PP are tools... you don't hate a hammer because you hit your thumb while driving nails.

There's no 'invasion of privacy', you gave them permission to do it when you use their site.

If you don't like it find somewhere else to conduct business.

Get over it.
