why would pp text u unless you were trying to send money? If u were not logged into pp, I would assume that you didn't send money to a friend, say your supplier for instance. so the text u were talking about was just to verify your phone number as a new pp account is that correct?

Yeah, pp just wanted to send a text for me to verify the phone number. I can't see why anyone else would want to text me, but it might be useful to know for other applications where you have to verify a phone number I guess.

I don't know, I'm just a monkey pushing buttons and seeing what seems to kind of work.......

Ok I get it now, thanks for the tip. However the question was when u do buy stuff or send money as a gift...to your supplier for example, pp asks for text verification, and when u do opt for text verification, it doesn't go thru with any phone, so it seems.
