Paypal limited after first sale, eBay's still good, should I ditch it?

My Paypal wasn't directly linked to my eBay account but it was just added to my listings. Once I made my first sale, my Paypal was limited. Can I link another Paypal to my future eBay listings or should I just ditch the eBay account altogether? Thanks!

Something is terribly wrong when you get limited on first sale. Until you figure what the problem is, I suggest you do some research. Start fresh IMO.

That pp and eb are still linked. Adding another PP MAY lead to limitation again - you can never be 100% sure, it may last awhile or go limited right away. To be proper and safe, go stealth and rebuild a whole new combo.

Plenty of people have been having the problem where they get limited on the first sale with all of their new accounts. This began a few months ago.

That's the amount of the item, the category

Those are the main reason his PP account got limited

Hmm... well I'm not one of those people. I run thousands of accounts and I follow guidelines and I never encounter first sale limitations/suspentions... You are doing something wrong...

No, you shouldn't be attaching another PP.

Have you actually read the stealth guide in regards to operating a proper ebay / PP accounts?

And no, it's not normal for people to be limited on their first sale, unless they did something terribly wrong.

I read a post about attaching another PayPal yesterday. You have to change the information in the old eBay to match the information on the new PayPal and change everything you would change for a new stealth account, but you can still use the old eBay. This is considered high risk though. If it was just one sale though you may want to just go ahead and create a whole new eBay.

Just what you need to Colonize an entire category on eBay.

OP you'd have to consider why your account was limited in the first place. Paypal may have given you a hint in the limitation email or prompt when you log in. It might be a vague one but you can draw conclusions from there.

Otherwise, is there any chance you have used a suspended IP? Have you listed something expensive too quickly? How old is the account and did you do some 'browsing' for a week or so?

There could be 47 other reasons why your account is limited but unless you give us more information, we'd all be guessing.
One thing you can do is read the stealth book. It would save you time and $$.

Can you attach another paypal to the eBay? Yes you can but it's not recommended if you have long term plans for the account or if you expect huge sales down the road.

I think most opinions here would rather you start afresh and rightfully so but if you must add a fresh paypal, consider the following:

1. Using the ip address you had when the account got limited, login to your eBay account and un-link your old paypal by removing all details from the listings.

2. Using a fresh ip address, link your new paypal and setup up for automatic payments if you prefer to pay that way.

3. Update the payment/paypal details across your listings.

Good luck.
