will i get fined for violating acceptable user policy?
 

I got an email saying:
"Dear ,

We are hereby notifying you that, after a recent review of your account
activity, it has been determined that you are in violation of PayPal's
Acceptable Use Policy regarding your sales / offers on eBay.com, user ID:
XXXXXXXX

Therefore, your account has been permanently limited.

Per the User Agreement, when PayPal permanently limits an account due to an
Acceptable Use Policy violation, we may hold your funds up to 180 days. In
addition, you will be liable to PayPal for the amount of PayPal's damages
for each violation of the Acceptable Use Policy."

i was selling windows keys that i purchased from ebay, i though it would be fine to resell them
will i get fined? i heard that you can get fined $2500
i am not concerned with recovering my account and i only had $30 inside it

Depends on if you used your real info or not. But in all probability they will probably not pursue it.

That statement basically says if someone comes after Paypal for your selling through their platform, you are on the hook for the damages they are awarded. It can be from $0-$?
