For your security paypal error ebay payment
 

hello forum friends and family. I searched the forums and couldn't find an answer to this please help.

While trying to make a purchase with my e bay account

1) Eb ay tells me to log into pa ypal to pay (then I select pay with payp al balance

2)Pay pal prompts me to add phone (even though I have the same mobile number registered to p ay pal and eb ay

Then I get hit with this (pay pal) message:

For your security, we do not allow you to add a phone number that is not registered in your name.

side note: I just added and confirmed this mobile number on eb ay and pay pal tonight and deleted the old number

That's the reason its not working - its a brand new number and CANNOT be used for security verification. Not anytime soon.
Itll take several month for them to agree to accept that new number for such purpose.
You should have kept the old number alive on there...
