Very Important Question on Chargebacks Need Help
 

I have been doing quite a bit of research and could not find a real answer to this.

From what I gathered most customers can do a chargeback up to 120 days with there credit card company.

The question I have is about the 120 days. It is:

1. 120 days from the Transaction Date (put there card info in and it was charged).

OR

2. 120 days from the delivery date of the product?

I have seen mixed results from researching this, just was wondering if anyone has any experience with this or any input. Thank you.

Is someone trying to file a charge back? What happened?

Charge cards can vary, but some of them allow chargebacks for nearly two years.

For PayPal, the dispute timeframe is 180 days (6 months) however the some card transactions can be disputed far longer than that, apparently.

I just had a PayPal "dispute" opened recently (I have another thread on this topic) about some guy that bought an item from me last April 2017, and was able to open a case after more than 8 months.

So, apparently this 180 day rule seems to be out the window.

More than 8 months? That's crazy...the dangers of online sales goes well up with PP...

One of my buyers was somehow able to open a dispute almost 9 months after the sale. I'm wanting to know how this is possible? It doesn't appear to be a chargeback, but I am waiting on PayPal to get back to me with some answers.
