Because we have so many tricks up our sleeves now with paypal lmao. Moving to the new platform, we might have to work years to gather more tricks up our sleeves.

I dont believe that ebay will make it sooooo complicated for seller.otherwise they lose a lot of money,we just need to wait the new process

Not happening for most people for as much as 5 years, and I doubt PP will ever go completely away, so put your pants back on, no action on this for quite a while.

Especially given EB's record on new technology rollouts.

If Ebay lets you send your Adyen money to your PP then nothing changes. You rotate as usual. Any mandatory 'requirement' as Ebay states then the sauce just gets thinker.

PayPal has about 220 MILLION active accounts. Regardless of what's in the news, PayPal is NOT going away anytime soon. In fact, if I were going to place a wager, I'd say that eBay will CONTINUE to offer PayPal as a payment option for the foreseeable future.

Unless there is an exclusivity agreement between eBay & Adyen that forbids PayPal from being offered as an payment option at all, there will always be people that still want to use it.

Agreed.

Everybody always thinks they hate PP.... until they find what's replacing it is even worse.

Then they'll be singing a different tune.

One thing is for sure, EB rarely seems to do anything that's in the seller's best interest, they see everything as a zero sum game, where there has to be a winner, and a loser, and we're usually the loser.

From everything I have read, ebay wants to move completely away from paypal. They are still angered that paypal board voted to split... Ok it was one guy that drove the split.

So, I do think if ayden successful ebay will get rid of paypal.

Once that happens you can log back into all your old ebay where attached PP was banned and use them again??? lol

Actually that is exactly what is happening. Adyen is connected to Ripple who in turn is connected to XRP. Seems like their CEO knows what he's doing after all. :thumb:

I'd be very interested in eBay again if Paypal is out of the picture. I just think that having 2 entities create a huge problem, especially an entity like Paypal that's not even a regulated institute.

They can do whatever the hell they want pretty much and settle on law suit like a cost of doing business.

You guys are smoking the funny stuff, PP isn't going anywhere.

EB said in the announcement PP would continue to be a payment option even after the new system integration.

Unless they do forced integration like Etsy did with PayPal and Etsy Payments it should continue as a stand alone option. Plus, a lot of countries can’t use Adyen so it’s never fully disappearing.
