Newbiemom | 07-31-2018 04:41 AM | Newbie needs help Okay first I apologize for my ignorance here, please don't bash me too hard. Anyway I have been reading for 9 days now, and I am so damn lost! I got limited/permanently banned on PP after 3 years of being a damn good customer and hold the pp business card they talked me into getting! Ok so I have been bugging them via social media, sent emails to executive email addresses (after reading the pp help center is bs). So my question is about my router (NVG510) I have tried the ipconfig reset, unplugged the modem overnight, called AT&T (waste of time). I just am ready to throw in the towel, is there something I am missing? And if I can figure out how to change IP will I just be limited again even with new info? My mom is willing to open an account in her name but she is currently under my care. Thank you in advance everyone (already learned so much in the wee hours of the morning) |
ilcarletto | 07-31-2018 04:49 AM | Re: Newbie needs help Hi, welcome to the forum!
I do not know about AT&T but there are other ways to get a different IP.
Therering your cellphone, getting an Internet USB key just to use for your stealth accounts, buy a VPN (see marketplace for that).
All the best as you learn stealth :thumb: |
Newbiemom | 07-31-2018 11:06 PM | Re: Newbie needs help ok so I am getting a new modem, will that be enough? |
Re: Newbie needs help Welcome to the forum - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:
Are you using new windows user account for stealth account creation? |
Re: Newbie needs help Trying to get a new IP address from a Modem these days is pretty much a waist of time... The IP could never change... No matter how long you leave it unplugged for...
Your best bet is to use your phone as a wireless hotspot... Every time you turn airplane mode on/off you get a new IP...
Make sure to log what account gets what IP because they recycle... ie. AT&T only gives about 200 IP's... so it doesnt take long to get a duplicate. |
Newbiemom | 08-01-2018 02:40 AM | Re: Newbie needs help well at least now after 11 yrs I will have a new IP since I am getting a new modem |

miketyson | 08-01-2018 11:38 AM | Re: Newbie needs help Or get a verizon 3g usb modem. $15 for 1 gigabit of data. Dont have to worry about ip changes everytine you connect and disconnect. |
dallis | 08-01-2018 03:59 PM | Re: Newbie needs help Easiest is to use the phone's hotspot. Cheaper too. |

What were you suspended for exactly? |
Newbiemom | 08-02-2018 02:57 AM | Re: Newbie needs help That is the best question and yet I have been told to get a subpoena if I want to see that info. I do not understand it at all. |

dallis | 08-02-2018 10:59 AM | Re: Newbie needs help Why do YOU think you were suspended? People are rarely entirely clueless, they usually know but don't want to tell.
Most offenses fall into one of the categories below.
Package(s) didn't arrive or shipped late
Product not as described
Customer complaints
Chargebacks
Failed to respond to open cases
Cases closed against you
Didn't Pay Bills
Sold VERO, knockoffs, phakes |
Newbiemom | 08-03-2018 03:39 AM | Re: Newbie needs help Nothing I have done could be against terms of service, I am not a seller. I had accepted gifts from family and 2 of my personal friends. One of them is stationed overseas but has an all US account. I do not sell anything and I had one case I opened a few months ago. It was settled and nothing more came of that (it was an item I bought but did not receive.)
PS got my new modem and it still has same IP so I am still looking for a good and fast solution! |

dallis | 08-04-2018 06:04 PM | Re: Newbie needs help Buyers certainly CAN do things against the terms of service, as you've just demonstrated.
Buyer standards are amazingly low, so to get banned you have to have really done something pretty noticeable.
Once again regarding the IP: Use a cell phone hotspot. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:49 AM. | |
