I think this is explaining much of the reason Paypal kicked me to the curb. Technically I didn't do anything wrong, but they gave me that BS "suspicious behavior" spiel.. Generally I would transer every cent to my bank account as soon as it appeared in Paypal. To be fair, though, how can Paypal fault anyone for doing this with the kind of bad reputation their company has?

I just wanted to add that I pull the money out every 2 weeks not daily like some people. Taking the money out daily could be seen as your trying to take the money out to scam others. Just my opinion..

koalawash 11-02-2007 02:05 AM

Yeah I guess that makes sense, but on the other hand if you don't take it out as frequently that will also mean you are having to do a very large single withdrawal that could also be viewed as suspicious. It's like if you make a lot of money, you just can't win either way. :(

If you leave too much in it and you get suspended for another reason, also remember you lose that. For me, I leave around $200-$300 in an account at all times and withdraw about $500 a week. So far so good..

Yeah, though the PayPal representatives can't seem to speak/read Japanese, I have to assume that I'm using the "US version" like everyone else.

paypal limited

Recently my account was limited probably due to recent High volume. Everything is legitimate, personal info, etc..

Only thing is that they want suppliers info. Do they really check?

I have friends that work at retail businesses. Some just for the holidays. I came up with a brainstorming idea that I can buy items from them using their employee discounts plus store sales. Meaning I tell them what I want, calculate the cost minus discounts, post on ebay and make 50-100 an item.

I do have sales receipts for the transaction and since it is legitimate I am tempted to fax over the receipts as "supplier" information.

Problem is will they contact the stores and tell them. I do not want anyone fired or in trouble for this.

I guess my question is do you think they check?

Does my business practice and the way I get the items for sale warrant paypal to close my account?

ivegotinfo 12-22-2007 10:57 AM

^ yep.
paypal probably has a million people at any time that they're checking accounts for, if you are a stupid paypal employee with no high school diploma that can barely read english, i think all they will look at is if you send some information in.
i faxed (photoshopped) supplier info written in RUSSIAN (i put names of the products they wanted in english though) lol. and they unsuspended the account................................. figures eh...

so what you should do, is scan the receipts to make your job easier, but change the phone number, maybe even get one from tossabledigits in case they do call, and you can act like the supplier.

sycore 12-22-2007 12:02 PM

The supplier info is easy as are utility bills. It when they start asking for social security and a million other things that I just walk away. I had one they wanted about 8 different things! It wasn't worth my time for the few dollars in there.

mojoyuni 12-22-2007 05:56 PM

Cool, any idea why they even ask for supplier info if they don't even bother to check?

Chris Hanson 12-22-2007 06:43 PM

easy, to get your supplier connect so they can sell on Ebay

mojoyuni 12-22-2007 10:50 PM

Can anyone supply me with a valid supplier info? I'll pay for it.

ivegotinfo 12-22-2007 11:34 PM

just make some up..they can't check, especially if its in another country.
get a number in that country that forwards to your cell so you can act as the supplier in case they call. so ud be safe.
